  1. Has anyone looked at their user-stats page lately for coin icons. Maybe I'm the last to notice this, but this morning, I noticed that several of my generic geocoin icons were updated to unique icons (i.e. germany, midwest geobash, Geocoin club, etc). Pretty cool. :bad: I was so excited, I thought I'd pass the info on. If this is old news, I apologize.

Now if Groundspeak would come off the GW Icon that they promised us when we got the coins for GW3, we would be all set.

  2. Do you have any outlook rules for these emails? If so make sure to check the box that says "stop processing more rules"

This is generally the solution for this kind of post.

Actually I am using Gmail. Today none of this happened. Just yesterday. Kinda strange.

  3. Just saw this thread and would like to throw in my two cents. We have seperate accounts for each family member (four total). My husband and I both have premium memberships and will continue to do so. While we don't have many MOC around here there are a few, I'd simply like the ability for my kids to log those caches. They don't need all the other features.

We are in that same boat here. Wife and Husband Premium Members, 2 kids not premium members. Logging the MO caches are what we would like to see most of this.

  4. Ok, it started today. I logged a cache on my watch list, and so have others, but I have received at last count 5 emails telling me of each log. It always says the same thing, but I have gottten it 5 times from each log posted to the page. I had at one time today 92 unread emails all of which were notifications of watchlist item repeats. Anyone else having this problem?

  5. Honest question here -

Would it be possible to send the PQ emails out with a read confirmation request?

I have my client set up to not respond to comfirmation requests. I have an issue with people knowing when I read my e-mail.

What TL said... I don't want people knowing WHEN or IF I read their email. There are a certain few that go straight to the trash can :anitongue:

  6. Waymarking is not geocaching and geocaching is not Waymarking. BUT Both are owned by Groundspeak. We wouldlike to see everything listed in one profile. If I am on the Waymarking site and click on my profile, it shows me my geocaching profile. So how hard would it be to add another line and icon in our stats page for Waymarking? From all the new geocoin icons popping up, I would say that it isn't that hard at all.

  7. So, all you cachers with personal coins... Who has the best pricing, coin work, and delivery time out there. I have shot the same design to several coin places and got varying prices and delivery time.

I also still have 1 unregistered GW3 Bronze coin available. PM or email with offers...

  8. Does anyone have a GeoWoodstock III coin they would like to trade? Thanks.

I have one of the Volunteer Bronse versions of the Geowoodstock 3 coins.

There were only 100 of the bronse version minted. They were only given to volunteers and never available to the caching community at large. Very few people have them at all, and only a handful of people have more than one. It is a rare coin indeed. It is also beautiful, trackable on geocaching.com, and has it's own icon for you icon ho's.

If anyone has a trade to propose, please email me via my gc.com profile

Has anyone heard back about this?

I have one... That I might be willing to part with. I would like a Moun10Bike (I'll settle for a second edition) email thesuzyqs(at)gmail(dot)com with offers.

  9. I have heard rumors that the submitted date in the winning package is being changed. Please don't... Those of us that travel with children would like for them to be out of school for the event. Memorial day weekend worked so well for GW3.

  10. Signing in at a table at 8am and then heading out caching for the rest of the day is a blast, but it's really not socializing.

For this it really shows that you were not there. If you had attended, the cache runs were a different day. There were only a handful of caches that were done at the event itself. Hours upon hours of socializing were done on Saturday durning the event. The park opened at 8 am and there was still socializing going on when we left after 6pm.

Back OT. Yes we believe that the event needs to be shared amung other caching communities, BUT they need to have the resources and willing cachers to make it an event to remember. Havinga rep that has attended a previous GW is a wise choice, that would give them an idea of what to expect. As the registration contact for this past event, we can say that it does take a lot of effort from a lot of people to tackle this size event. If the area that is chosen want any help with registration, please feel free to email us and we can provide you with a copy of our Excel spreadsheet that pretty much made life easy at the registration tables.

  11. We just had our calf moose a week ago. I'm waiting for her mother to allow her to go cahcing for the first time...

We had a couple of cachers here that took their newborns caching on the way home from the hospital. Took pictures and all. It was kinda nice.

Anyway, Congrats AmishHacker on your addition.

  12. Ok, we believe that we have figured out the map thing. He had his hotsync cradle and card reader plugged into a USB hub. Once we tried plugging it into the computer directly, everything seems to be fine now. He has the entire east coast, from Maine to Florida out to the Mississippi River on his SD card now. Now that is impressive. If my 60C only had that much memory....

  13. Ok, we are now having issues getting maps onto the card. Well, a lot of maps. If he only loads NY state, it syncs fine. If he adds another state, then it "Looses Connection with PC" Is there a limit on the megs of maps that you can put in other than card space? He has a 1 Gig card, so space is not an issue. He does not have a laptop that he can travel with, so he wants to load all his maps before he leaves home to head out.

  14. Ok, next question... We have figured out how to get the maps into the unit/SD card, but it is not allowing us to load the routes we created on the computer to the iQue. We have upgraded the City Select to Version 6, vise the version 5 that came with it. We are also having difficulty downloading the track logs from the gps to the computer. Any help would be great.
