  1. Is there a way to make it so that additional waypoints show up under a different "folder" on the Nuvi. It is a great macro but this is one thing that annoys me. Also, is there any way to rename additional waypoints to a designated code (Like PK[smartName] for a parking location and TH[smartName] for a Trail head, etc.) This would greatly enhance this macro. Thanks for everything... Kyle
  2. How do I get the StatBar for Canada...Whe I click the link at the top of the page it only has european options and US options. Thanks in advance: ky.m.guy
  3. Thanks, turns out that I was forgetting that HTML Tags use <> and not [ ] like UBB.
  4. I'm a newbie with Travel Bugs and Coins. I've seen that some people have used HTML (or it could be UBB) in their TB descriptions. I want to put line breaks in the listing but the common " " doesn't do the trick. I also was trying to bold and italicize some text within but the common [bracket]B[bracket] doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you
  5. WOW!! I love that blue Christmas Tree! It must have taken a lot of time to decorate it. I don't think I'd have that much patience. Every year, my parents take my brother and I driving out to look at Christmas lights throughout our town. This year, my dad saw this house during the day and wanted to go back to look at night. Sorry the picture is a little bit blurry (It's a frame from a video I took of the house). The thing that I thought was cool is that they have a rubbermaid bin near the road for anybody who wants to donate food to the food bank. It shows that there are still some people who think about giving more than recieving!! After all; that's part of what Christmas is all about. For anybody who lives around the Pickering-Scarborough, Ontario area, This house is on Ilona Park, just off of South Liverpool (2nd right south of Massey's) There is also a fairly well lit house on Vicki in Pickering. Ajax has its share off well lit houses. There is a good house on Chapman (Ajax, just off of HWY2). Hope everybody has a great Christmas, Kyle ky.m.guy HAVE FUN GEOCACHING!!!
  6. QUOTE (ginger4x4): how much memory is there avilible within the Nuvi, can topo and extra PQ of lets say a different ared be stored on a SD card? It depends on how big your SD card is; I have a 2GB card and I have it loaded with over 20,000 caches and TOPO maps of all of Canada south of 55* Latitude. It works fine for me. The finished macro files take up about 25MB per 10 000 caches in your database. I hope this helps, Kyle
  7. I was wondering how to include photographs in my cache descriptions like Clan Perez does in this geocache. I've tried playing with HTML but I cannot get pictures to appear. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Kyle
  8. Thank-you so much for the hard work on this macro. I love it. I love not having to write down all of the hints, description, co-ordinates, etc. I have a few questions. 1) Is it possible to have the macro output to several .gpx files in order to have different icons? I don't want to have to set 16 different filters and output the caches 16 times in order to get different waypoint icons. 2) Is it possible to EXCLUDE the child waypoints from the macro so that they do NOT appear on the GPS. (Even better, have the child waypoints export as a seperate .gpx file so that you do not get proximity alerts for the child waypoints and so you can have a different icon for child waypoints and so they appear in a different list under the Favorites>Custom POI menu on the GPS If these cannot already be done, I think it would be a great feature to add to the macro. (I tried but I have no idea how macro language works ) Anyways, Thanks for the GREAT macro ., Kyle, ky.m.guy
  9. This isn't trackable through geocaching.com but the person who sent it on it's journey trusts fellow geocachers to help move it to Killarney. When you move it, send an email, if possible to the email on the back. Include the cache listing number of the cache that you put it in (GC##...). This will help the people who started the dinosaur to keep track of it's journeys. Any official Travel Bug or Geocoin will have a six-digit tracking number that you enter into geocaching.com to log that you have picked it up. A GC or TB will also say "Trackable at Geocaching.com" on it. I Hope this answers your questions, Happy caching, Kyle ky.m.guy
  10. Thank-you so much. I thought I had to buy a $500 Garmin Colorado to enjoy Paperless Geocaching. I can't thank-you enough!, ky.m.guy
  11. if you have a laptop, use GSAK (gsak.net)
  12. Is there any way to download all geocaches in an area, for example, Ontario? I would like to be able to download all of the geocaches in Ontario in one large GPX file. Is this possible? I tried to use pocket queries but this only allows you to download a maximum of 500 and once you've downloaded the 500 nearest you, there isn't any way to specify that you do not want to download the ones that you have already downloaded. Please let me know, This would be a great feature to add to your Premium Service if it doesn't already exist. Thank-you so much!
