  1. I think implementation could be pretty simple: Each user could have a kind of pseudo-cache, which contains self-defined waypoints (like any other cache), which can be included in a bookmark list or pocket query, and simply never gets published as a real cache. Adding the waypoints to this pseudo-cache and including it in the wanted PQ would give you the chance to include any waypoint you like. You could even use normal "note"-logs for extra notes.
  2. Is there a way to add single waypoints or modfiy the coordinates of existing waypoints via geocaching.com in a way that the modifications are integrated into the the pocket query before it gets sent? Sometimes I'd like to e.g. add an extra waypoint for coordinates that are only mentioned in the cache description, but are missing from the "extra waypoints" section. Or I could change the header coords of a mystery cache to the actual coordinates. Please do NOT recommended GSAK - I'm using the ZIP attachment from the PQ mail directly on different devices. Saving, opening in GSAK, exporting, etc. is not what I'm after. Martin.
  3. Agreed, sometimes it's really hard to identify which of the many included pictures is the spoiler. And I'd make it a strict and enforced rule that there can only be exactly one spoiler image, which is clearly marked as such (not one named "cache location from far away", another "cache from closer by", etc.). Martin.
  4. Despite all the paperless-hype I'm I still print cache descriptions pretty often. Unfortunately, none of the methods currently available via gc.com is optimal. What I'd like to see is a "Create PDF" button, which would include all the necessary information of a cache in a concise format *including the spoiler*. Right now, I need to download and print the spoiler in an extra step. The PDFs would allow me to store all patch descriptions and print them later in batch. Martin.
  5. <sarcasm>Fantastic. So instead of at last adding the possibility to enter the correct coordinates for mystery caches directly on the geocaching.com - as it has been proposed many times - I'm supposed to download the GPX file, import it in GSAK ($$$), save it, upload it to geocaching.com again, buy an iPhone ($$$$$$) and download it to that again. I'm impressed.</sarcasm> Honestly, this missing feature is the one biggest nuisance for me. Martin.
  6. @toczygroszek: Actually I thought about that, too. But I wouldn't trust that the images won't be deleted at some point in the future, and then you cache descriptions will be severely broken. @Prime Suspect: Sorry for ignoring the advice you gave in the first reply. It's just that posting the image to my personal profile seems just as awkward as posting it to a TB gallery. But you're right; as it is, this seems to be the preferred solution for my problem as long as I want to have the images on the GC platform. Thanks!
  7. I see, thanks for the pointers. None makes me really happy, though, so I guess this turns into a feature request: There should be either a checkbox to allow the owner of a cache to decide whether an uploaded image is listed below the cache description or not, or there should be a general image upload option somewhere, for images which are not directly associated with either a cache or a TB.
  8. When including images in cache descriptions via <img src="..."> in HTML code, I would like these images not show up with extra links at the end of the cache description as well. Obviously this is possible, as I have seen that on other cache descriptions (e.g. GC12YZ6, to see what I mean). When using a lot of images in the cache description (especially images which are not photos, like stars, bars, etc.) it's ugly to get all those listed down there between "For online maps" and "Logged Visits", too. Can anybody tell me how this is done? I have found no general image upload method yet, only connected to a cache description, a log or a trackable item. And I don't want random images to show up in a foreign gallery.
  9. I know that one could use GSAK to workaround this, but I'd really prefer a solution for gc.com, as this is what I mostly use to plan my trips. To be honest, I tried GSAK multiple times in the past, but never got the hang of it. It has loads of features, but hides them under a horrible user interface. That's just my personal opinion :-) Even if the real hiding place is within 3km of the header coordinates, this doesn't help a lot when caching in urban regions with many caches, where I plan my cache trip with 10+ caches in a much smaller radius, so I can walk or use public transport.
  10. I would like to have a way to override the header coordinates of a mystery cache with own caches, so the icon for the cache shows up in a different place on the cachemap. Usually, I solve the riddles in mystery caches and then store the correct coordinates in some text file. Now when planning a cache tour in a certain region, I collect all regular caches in a bookmark list. As mystery caches don't show up in that region, I have to manually check all of them to see whether one of them is in the affected region. Now if I could somehow change the header coordinates of the mystery to the real coordinates, all mystery caches would show up in the region they are hidden in. This would make planning *a lot* easier. This could be combined with a geochecker feature (gc.com already has the real, final coordinates for any mystery), and solved mystery caches could be shown with a different icon (e..g ! instead of ?) as well. Comments, anybody?
