  1. I'm just a newbie to the sport (only found 12 caches to date). I've read up a little on geocoins and travel bugs here and on the GC website. A few of the caches I've found have had either TB's or geocoins in them. I've left them there because the only other caches I'll be finding(or trying to find) will be right in this area (same city/county/region). Am I "right" in leaving them? Or should I take them and move them to a different cache but one that is within say, a 60 miles radius? Or, am I right in leaving them so maybe someone else who may be just traveling through can find/take it and move it further on?
  2. There's a nano here that is on a light pole in the parking lot of a large medical clinic. The last cacher has somehow placed it so high up on the light pole that it will take a tall ladder to get to it (even for my 6' tall hubby). So what's the fun in that?
  3. I take hubby along on my caching adventures so we can spend some quality time together. Last weekend we went searching along the local hike/bike trail. Of course most were off the trail into the trees and brush. After each find we'd head back to the trail to walk to the next one. One time, upon our return to the trail from behind some bushes, we popped out to find a couple runners headed down the trail. I wasn't trying to be stealthy, I was only trying to brush off leaves/twigs/etc. You could tell though that they thought hubby and I had been getting frisky behind the bushes! I was so embarressed!! It IS a good stealth tactic though!
  4. Thank you for the replies. I didn't mean to bring up bad blood. I can understand why they were disallowed. I guess one way to look at it is that National Parks and the like offer enough to see and do without having to look for caches.
  5. A recent post suggests bringing back virtual caches in response to another post. I'm new here so please forgive me if this has been asked and answered already..... why were virtual caches disallowed? It would be nice to see more in places where physical caches aren't allowed like National Parks. Just wondering.
