  1. Find more caches. That being said you still have thirteen PQ's left. 6500 new caches seems like you won't be running into barriers any time soon. In the meantime take a look at GSAK. The newest version will download PQ's directly from geocaching.com without intervention. That being done you could up your PQ numbers to 1000 and download them all in one click.
  2. If I remember correctly the last finder was able to find a local that charged a small fee for transportation and escort to the cache. He would be worth the money as he knows where the cache is although you may get a bit more help locating it than you want. I would contact the last couple of finders for more information. I think one of them even has contact information.
  3. I'm a kid at heart. That counts right? I wouldn't think that caches that don't allow anyone to find them would be published.
  4. Set up the queries by date placed. Pick a start and end date that allow you the distance you want. Preview the queries before selecting a date to run. You can also increase the range by only selecting cache types or D/T ratings.
  5. Try using a - symbol before the longitude. This is a known bug when you have 000 coordinates.
  6. At the airport heading to Bahrain for 20 days. Hope to meet some cachers on the trails.
  7. Actually not...as far as I can tell. There are plans to include the favorites point data in the PQs at some future date, and currently GSAK can apply favorites points to caches you specify in a filter. I don't see any way to filter (in GSAK) on favorites points. On the search pages, bottom of general tab. Search on favorites.
  8. If you have moved a long distance the caches won't show up unless you do a search by name instead of by distance.
  9. You should have gotten some html text. It will look something like this (img _ src="http://image.jpg") Copy that into your profile edit page and select use HTML That should get you the images you seek.
  10. The badges don't mean anything at all. However if you really want them you can get them at http://www.mygeocachingprofile.com Also you can use the Macro in GSAK without paying the $30.00 to register it. You will just have to endure the delayed start up time.
  11. My understanding is that is uses GMT as the date and time stamp.
  12. I am very appreciative of the changes in this release. Nice progress.
  13. Unless you look at my stats, in which case you will have to get notepad.
  14. In my opinion if you are against sending an email because it violates your privacy you are going to have a hard time logging caches that show where you have been and can eventually lead to someone knowing where you live, play or work.
  15. I am wondering why you want to remove it. I am going to take a guess that you want to download some PQ's. Just so you know it doesn't count against your five daily queries.
  16. No I don't think you should be able to log your own cache. At the same time I don't feel you should log your own event either for the same reason as GOF and Bacall gave for logging your own cache. If you are hosting an event it is already assumed that you are attending and you got credit for your attendance on your Geocaches Owned list I have hosted an event that I didn't get to attend. The person who host our monthly breakfast hasn't attended several of his events. Your assumption that you attend you own events is false. That is why I "attend" my own events.
  17. If you are projecting a waypoint you will need to know what the cache owner used and match that. If you are just putting in the N/S part of a waypoint it doesn't matter. The N coords do not change as it is a position not a direction.
  18. The Europeans have been using those two little nails for years. I still have some medalians on my hiking stick from 1976 that are still attached firmly. You should have no problems
  19. How far away are the caches from you? The Garmin is set up to show nearest but they are restricted by distance. Try searching by name and see if the caches show up.
  20. Oh, good GRIEF, people! That inexcusable rudeness does not belong in a thread like this. Let's see how well you are maintaining your caches in ten years. Very nice, Seth! You deserve to come here and boast a little bit. Congratulations, and thanks!! Thank you KnowsChad, I was thinking the same thing.
  21. What cache were you searching? Most Multicaches have a tag or some other way to give the second coordinates at the first stage. Some of them use math or projection to find the second location. If you tell us the cache code we might be able to help you better.
  22. Go through the list selecting the caches you want to do. Add them to a bookmark list (I call mine To_Do) Once you have all the caches in your bookmark list you can go to the bookmark list page http://www.geocaching.com/my/lists.aspx On the right hand side of your list is a link to create a PQ. Use that to create a PQ of just the caches you want to do.
