  1. Thank you for that. I'll do just that...sometimes the simple options elude us!

    New app

Hi Folks....May seem a dumb question but with the talk of needing the new platform as the old one will soon discontinue, how do I know what version I am running on? Any replies gratefully received Maria (Emmie's Mum)
  3. Here's an odd one folks...... Whilst out caching last week I found a 'lost' cache (clip lock box) which had been dumped on a hedge row top. There is no GC marking on the cache or on the log. I've tried my best to search all surrounding caches for any that have gone missing, marrying up the written log dates with the electronic logs. I'm still coming up empty in locating where it's missing from. I have the written log with the name of two separate find entries on two different days (from those that are legible on the written log!) and need to contact the finder/cacher(s) to find out from them what series they played that day to figure out where this clip-lock hide has come from. QUESTION: How do I find 'message contact details' for a player, can it be done? Ive tried both names under the 'filters' in PLAY to see if they've hidden any of their own caches and come up empty! Any help gratefully received
  4. Thank you for that pointer. One more question though; if I add the new coordinates as a way point, does it only add it on my view of the geocache or does it appear for everyone to be able to see i.e. I don't want to do it and end up spoiling it for everyone else if it is permanently added to the entry for all to see?
  5. Hi folks Can anyone advise me of the best way to proceed with say a multi-cache when I have the new coordinates to hand? I cache using geocaching app from my iphone 6 (I dont have a garmin or other handheld) I cant see a function on my geocaching.com app that allows me input the answer coordinates. Is there a third party app (even google maps or similar) that people use to guide them to the new location for the physical cache? Any help/guidance gratefully received
  6. Thanks for coming back to me. I didnt want to drop the 6 trackables that I have brought over from the States in the same cache, just local caches that would help them continue on their journey. I carry them when I'm out caching anyway so should be able to see from size of cache and visits on log frequency I suppose if they are suitable. I just didnt know if there was a more effficient way of using the filters on Geocaching.com to do it an easier way. Thanks again for your advice
  7. Have dropped TB's in the past that have sat for ages and not moved. I'm wondering if there is a filter I can use or a search phrase on Geocaching.com that will show me caches in my area that: A)Can hold TB's B)Are busy locations for TB movement I have recently returned from the USA with a handful of TB's to move on but am reluctant to do so in my town as they don't seem to move far from where I've left them before, if they move at all! Any ideas gratefully received Thanks, Emmies Mum
  8. Hi all and thanks in anticipation of a response from you kind folk. I'm relatively new to this and still very much learning. I'm ready to release my first TB into a new cache that is in for review just now. I want to show the TB is in the cache on the listing itself but am unsure how to do so. I've visited the TB page and written a release note but cant see how I reflect where the TB was released? Is it simply that I cant until its published? Happy caching and thanks again for the advice Maria (Emmie's Mum)
