Hi, I had Vista hcx and sold it to get a garmin 60 csx, for the bigger screen and buttons. From what I read they had similar chipsets and high sensitivity receivers. Since I got the 60csx It seems like longer times to acquire the satellites. Is this common or didi i get a lemon and need to exchange it. Thyanks for your help!

Hi everbody, I'm new and just got a Vista HCX. I'm pretty happy with it but like the set up on the 60 csx better. I have a friend who will by my unit so I can upgrade to 60csx, should I do it. Please help with these questions: 1) How do the chip sets of the different units compare? 2) Is the quad helix antennae give the 60csx an advantage? 3) The Hcx can hold a 2gb memory card can the 60 do the same? 4) Finally, Is the 60csx waas enabled? Hi all, I'm a rookie GPSer and geccaher. Mty daughter and I went out for about 1.5 hours yesterday and tried to locate two caches, to na avail. I was using my new Garmin Vista HCX with w/ City Navigator NT 2008 and topo north america. I felt we were close, but i couldn't seem to get closer with just gps or the way i was using it. Please help as I gecacaching sounds like so much fun and my little daughter viewed it like treasure hunting. Help us go find those 2 we were looking for then we'll catch on I'm sure! Once we get a little experience we want to place a geocache of our own because there aren't amny around our small city in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Also, the travel bug sounds fun, I amy by a few. How do geo coins work? Thanks for any and all advice! Peace.
