  1. I installed 3.10 and mine is still doing what you describe above...Mine is the 400t
  2. I projected my first waypoint with my 400t today for a cache. I am running 2.98. The cache required me to project a point .27 miles away. The Oregon would not let me do hundredth of a mile. I had to do .3 miles. Luckily the cache was in an obvious spot and I found it easily. Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way it is.
  3. I say go paperless, I am now using the Oregon 400t and love it...As far as a journal...I still keep mine every time I make a find...I too would not go with out the journal...so do both...
  4. I'm using the Oregon 400t My wife is using our Legend HCx Both are great it just depends on what you want....
  5. ok, now my map is showing up, but when I plug it into my computer the garmin does not prompt me to go to mass storage mode or not...it goes straight to mass storage
  6. I don't know if this is me or the 2.97 beta...last night I was tweaking several other profiles and when I went back to my geocaching profile I had no map data..It was green and shaded but showed no roads or map points. I checked to see if topo was enabled and it was...has anyone else had this problem? I also though I would start a new profile to see if it showed the roads...it didn't..All the other profiles show the roads and map detail help
  7. We are planning an overnight backpacking/ geocaching trip to LBL in October. We are going to start on the north side of the north/ south trail and go two days south. Does anyone have any helpful hints for us when we get there. I am also looking for a gpx file of the trail if anyone knows where I can get one.
  8. You can use the razr charger. Just plug it in while in the car. The OR will operate as if it is on AC. Saves battery life while traveling, plus it leaves the back light on all of the time.
  9. 2wheel'in, thanks I found them...Tequila, I don't have City Navigator that's probably my problem...
  10. I can't find the POI catagories...the POI's in my OR looks the same, and I also don't see the easter eggs in the waypoints...what am I doing wrong..
  11. I've been through three different GPSr's since March of 2008. I got a Forerunner 205 for running and found my first few caches with that. I then got a Legend HCx in July. I now have just purchased the Oregon 400t. I think I'm done for awhile...
  12. I just got the Oregon 400T last week and wow. Just a note Dell was running a 10% off deal on all their Oregon's in addition to the mail in rebate. You might check it out.
  13. I just ordered a 400T yesterday from Dell...they have all their Oregons 10% off and a 50 dollar mail in rebate...not a bad deal...
  14. A cacher took a picture of this little guy near one of my caches. I don't think he was doing very well.
  15. I have my GPSr with POI's loaded. As I find caches I log them down in my handy dandy notebook. I log the name, geonumber, date, time (if it's an FTF), and any TB's I drop. When I get home I use the notebook to reference the geonumber for logging. I try to keep it as simple as possible.
  16. I carry a Leatherman e302 clipped in my pocket, and either my Leatherman Kick or my Leatherman PST on my belt.
  17. I've attempted to run two different query's today and neither ran. One I tried this morning the other tonight. Is anyone else having problems.
  18. My wife and I are going to Des Moines from central Illinois next weekend for two days. We want to get a few caches but won't have a lot of time. Does anyone have any recommendations of the best caches along I80 and in the Des Moines area.
  19. I ran mine last night, also. It was in my inbox this morning.
