  1. Hi there, I work in the business of radio(morning show host). And we were thinking of creating a cache and hiding it with the specific info on the website(and cache) saying that we put it out there. The goal would be to bring attention on the air about geocaching and talking about the hobby. Here was the thought... we'd advertise on the cache page on the site as well as in the cache that whatever is written on the log could be shared on the air whenever we talk about it. Whether that'd be a story, anectode, whatever. Would that turn anyone off to finding the cache if you knew it could be talked about on the air? We probably wouldn't share the users nickname, just the story or info they left when we talk about our Cache and about geocaching in general. It's so popular around these parts since it's near the proclaimed geocaching capital of Canada that it makes for a relevant topic once in a while. What are your thoughts? As I said, it would be abundently clear that whatever is left could be put on-air.(of course)
  2. Hey there, I'm kind of revealling information that I probably am not suppose to in this hobby from what I understand but when I signed up I used my real first and last name for my username. Is there any etiquette against that since it's also what I use to sign the logs on geocaches. I know a lot of people use monikers of all types including my wife but I just found it easier to use my first and last name together. What makes it really interesting is that for caches in my area, people might know who came to their cache because I am a public figure(radio morning host) and I do talk about geocaching on the air from time to time(without going into too many details of course)... Anyways, I guess the point of this thread is, should I have chosen a different moniker or is what I chose ok since I normally always use the same name for different things.
