  1. I just placed a cache and it's summer. Pretty much everything is grown in so no surprises as the seasons change. I tried to pick a spot that would be accessible in all seasons. I walk the area frequently enough to check on it, so I'd like to take pictures in all seasons just to see. I would definitely love to place a winter cache.
  2. what exactly is Ham Radio, kinda like a CB basically? When I placed my cache yesterday at Ken Reid they were having a meeting/bbq for Ham Radio Ontario.
  3. Yay I'm so excited!! I went to Ken Reid for a walk yesterday and placed my very first cache. In honour of Shelley's Crew who had placed a cache there on a different area of the park, I just had to bring some folks back to this awesome place. It was our first cache found, and shortly after it was vandalized unfortunately. Hoping with Canada Day coming up, we may have a few logs with all the travellers. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...2d-5e360827af48 I am going in today to take some photo's. I frequently go walking on the trails and do some cycling on the days when the weather co-operates. There is a donation box, so if anyone does visit, the park would appreciate it and so would I. Edit: Forgot to add the cache is approved now.
  4. Yikes, I just placed a cache at Ken Reid Conservation Area, I'm guessing it won't be approved. Bummer.
  5. Hello, There isn't a high density of caches, I just wasn't sure if I could put more then one in the same park or not. Because the Ken Reid Conservation area is quite large and there could be several really great finds for someone to make an entire day of it. Thanks for the help, I think I'll put one together and see what happens.
  6. WE just found our first cache the other day in a conservation area. (Ken Reid Park, Ontario). I would love to place a cache, but it seems like there are very few spots I could actually do so. I know you cannot place two caches in the same area (within .10 mile of one another) so I'm stumped. I'd love to get some more traffic to the area regarding geocaching. Does anyone have any ideas for this particular area or suggestions? I want the cache to be a faily easy terrain etc.. as most around here I have seen are a little challenging. Thanks for any help or suggestions! Crystal, Dan & Zoey
