I guess what im looking for is more like a ok load the caches into the gps and software that will show me what streets i can take to get in the area of the cache then switch to the compass mode instead of driving around following the compass and trying to get close that way

I'm not sure if this question has already been asked here i tried to find the answer before posting. I'm kind of a GPS newbie but getting better. We have been using our Legend hcx to Geocache and it is working great but i would like to make the map "better" we normally use the compass mode to find a cache once we are close enough but sometimes getting close enough can be a problem. I want to buy map software for my gps but I'm confused as to which to get . We live in Rhode Island so i would be looking for software for the US or the New England area and i wasn't sure because some are a dvd and some come in a preloaded card which i already have a 2g micro card in my gps? any help would be great and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. Thanks!
