  1. When you text in the logs, they are not posted directly to the cache page. They go into your Field Notes. On your profile, the link is on the right side. This gives you a chance to edit your log and add any tb's you may have dropped. Then you post it to the cache page.
  2. GSAK won`t work with a Triton. Magellan never released the transfer protocol specs for it. You`ll have to use Magellan`s Vantagepoint software to transfer waypoints or caches to a Triton.
  3. Is it one of your caches? If you download a cache you own, you will be able to see any hidden additional waypoints. They are not sent to anyone else.
  4. You could also try the wap.geocaching.com site. It's much simpler than the main site and works on most phones.
  5. Did you select a day for the query to run?
  6. On the main Pocket Query page, is it showing that the query ran?. If so, check your spam folder, a bunch of ISPs send mail from gc.com there.
  7. They're on there. When you search by nearest caches, you'll only see the closest 50. If you search by name you'll see them all.
  8. What browser are you using? IE6 hasn't worked since the update. IE7 and Firefox work fine.
  9. You have both "I haven't found" and "I have found" checked. You can only check one or the other as a cache can't be found and not found.
  10. How far away are the caches you are trying to load? If they are over a certain distance (about 100 miles I believe) they won't show up when you search for nearest waypoints. If you search for them by name they'll show up.
  11. I did a puzzle cache a while back where the final was a lamp post micro in a parking lot. That was a disappointment after finishing the puzzle.
  12. What browser are you using? IE6 is known to have problems with the "Send to GPS". IE7 and Firefox work ok. Also, once your premium membership kicks in you won't need to that feature with a Colorado. You can just download the .gpx file directly from the cache page to your Colorado, no extra software needed.
  13. I know of at least 1 cacher in Maryland who got the same email. We all thought it was pretty lame.
  14. Where are you looking for your found caches? They won't show up in the list of unfound caches. On a 60 series, they'll be underwaypoints. On a Colorado, you have to click the option to show found caches. I'm not sure where they show up on other units.
  15. It sounds like you may be previewing the PQ. When you select a day for the PQ to run, you should get an email with an attachment. Un-zip that file and copy it over to the /garmin/gpx folder on your Colorado and you should be all set.
  16. You can use GSAK to load the Colorado, but you don't need it. Simply connect the Colorado to your computer in mass storage mode and copy the .gpx file to the /garmin/gpx/ folder. You'll have all the info that is in the gpx file, description, rating, hint and all the logs that are in the gpx file. Using GSAK and macros can make it easier, but it's not hard without it.
  17. Are you using a Mac? If so, I believe you need to empty the trash can/recycle bin so they won't reappear. I think this bug was fixed in a firmware update.
  18. The 400t has the same features as the 300 plus the built in Topo maps. Make sure you upgrade to the latest firmware using the webupdater. The early versions of the firmware had some serious bugs. You can download the webupdater here.

    SEND TO GPS

Actually, I don't think that's true. I have a second account that's not premium and I can use "Send to GPS" with it.
  20. Since you're a Premium Member, you don't need the "Send to GPS". You can just download the GPX file and save it in the [drive]/garmin/gpx folder on the Colorado.
  21. Actually, the MD cache was moved temporarily because of the threat of dam failure. It was moved back after the dam was deemed safe. It went missing a month or 2 later, right around the time the one in Illinois disappeared.
  22. You can’t pick a state when setting up the notifications. But the state is included in the notification email and you can set a filter to automatically delete it. The format is “Location: Virginia, United States”. Setting a filter to match those words might catch some other emails, but it seems pretty unlikely.

    Name Change

Actually, name changes are possible. See here.
  24. There are a couple of caches in MD like that. Cache Without a Key Play It Safe Both have worked out pretty well, but the TB's are supposed to stay much closer than 200 miles to the cache. If the TB lands in New York City and someone finds it there, I don't think many people would rush right down to find the cache. It could also take a very long time for the TB to make it's way back to the DC area so a local could find the cache.
  25. There's already an app to show your stats. http://apps.facebook.com/geocachestats/
