  1. That's exactly why there's a 'Submit New Listing' link. You're right, and it will be edited.
  2. A new group in the MN/WI area has created a database of caching rules and restrictions for across the country. It's certainly not complete, but there's a 'Submit New Listing' link at the top of the page. Care to help us? http://northstar-cachers.org/guidelines/
  3. It's just you, Tom . Try this: http://www.granitecountry.com/news.php?NWArticleID=9 Do you want to post this to the NorthStar Cachers forum, or should I?
  4. In 1970 I was just a kid, but I remember my parents rejoicing over the gas war on a corner in Ames, IA where a gallon of gas went for $.25. Even at $3.00/gal, that's only 12 times the price... 36 years later. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has gone from around 700 in 1970 to over 11,000 today. That's more than 15 times! 15 X $.25/gal is $3.75/gal. I'm not going to complain about the price of gas.
  5. I don't see this as being just out about MnGCA. The topic could come up in any of the other 49 states. While local specifics probably should be confined to state organizations, a general discussion would be helpful. 1. What experiences have other multi-org states had? 2. How does the state respond to multiple contacts promoting geocaching? 3. Are the differences geographical, political, or something else?
  6. I've found at least two like this. In one case the decoded message read Do not Believe Everything You Read. In the other, the coded message was garbage. The text gave a hint at what was going on. Both are personal favorites.
  7. Some alternative opinions can be found here: http://www.swissperpetual.com/Directory/index.php We are a relatively small group, but I think it has a chance.
