  1. If I'm driving, it's Queen, Bon Jovi, Rolling Stones. If LarkParker is driving, it's Fred Eaglesmith and the Flying Squirrels, Ron Sexsmith, Lyle Lovett. They do say opposites attract.
  2. How would you feel about visiting a grave if the occupant had ASKED you to bring a bottle of wine to the grave to toast him annually? We bring the wine, we sit on the grass on top of him, we toast his memory and pour a glass of wine on the grass, and we don't feel guilty or abashed at all. It's his grave, and he wanted it this way. The idea of a grave being sacrosanct doesn't work for everyone.

    In The News...

We go to meet the reporter, and Hamgran tells me to make sure I do all the talking. We do the interview, and Hamgran shifts into non-stop yap mode. We leave the interview, and Hamgran bawls me out for sitting there, just grinning, letting her do all the talking without interrupting. Just can't make some people happy. And make sure you don't invite me when you cook that groundhog!
  4. There's a multi in Ontario that logs each cache individually, but you need to find the first two caches in order to get the coordinates for the final cache. It's listed under GCG9XB, GCG9XC and GCG9XD.
  5. One warning with caches on strings - check our logs for July 9/04 for GC655D. All-thumbs people can be hazardous to these caches.
  6. OK, thanks for the replies . I'll check these out.
  7. Is there such a creature as a mapping program for the Palm OS (other than the one for the Tungsten T, which apparently isn't useable on other Palms)? I've seen Pocket Streets on a PocketPC with caches marked, but haven't seen anything comparable for the Palm. Or, will I have to spring for a Garmin program for the GPS instead?
  8. FWIW - We use both a Magellan 315 and a Garmin Vista. I find the Vista is a wee bit more accurate (probably the WAAS feature), but the Magellan blows it away for keeping the satellites locked in while under heavy tree cover. I lost my signal four times today while out - he didn't lose his once.
  9. Nope, not staying there - fortunately I have a sister who moved to Morell PEI two years ago, so I have wonderful accommodations which include chilled wine waiting for our arrival!
  10. PEI offers this service - www.gov.pe.ca - go to the address locater, enter the address, then ask for the details. You get the long/lat address in those details. I've used it quite a bit lately, as I'm headed east next month with hamgran to do some geocaching.
