  1. So this means that TeamAlamo gets home field advantage during the playoffs? dave Were it I, I'd settle for great seats AT the playoffs. Congratulations to all cachers who found caches this weekend. I went over #300 at Fragglestock!
  2. Had a wonderful time with team Cache Me If You Can at the 2005 Alien Encounter, and yesterday had a great day at Fragglestock. But, as announced for 2007... "Don't Eat My Chevy." "Donde Esta Mi Chevy." I don't understand yet............ Big thanks to the Fraggles and Serenity Now!! When I log these caches, I'm gonna make sure the event itself is #300. I'll be well over. 3. -can you carve i.d. in? -pictures? -contest?
  4. The solution??? Go to study hall and ask all your friends.
  5. In this case, I can think of one Steak 'N' Shake parking lot that is hazardous to travelers.
  6. I often trade for 'em for my collection.
  7. Not to mention that they often entertain us with their wit! Them and the pig.
  8. "It's hard to make anything foolproof, because fools are so ingenious."
  9. Have to admit, I'm not a fan of micros......... but I do recogize that those who like them have an equal right to their preferences, and I'm not excited to get on anyone's bandwagon with very little actual information. Rude? How? Perhaps it's you, not him??? I was first in my area too...... that, and $1 will buy a cup of coffee.
  10. Some of mine have been out there about 3 years now........ and YOU haven't visited yet!!!!!!!!
  11. Welcome, sorry I'm late, but have a pickle anyway. See you've already met the pig. So, do you have a military background? I find language interesting, like my cousin with the medical profession who distends her bike tires.
  12. I'm an opportunistic fisherman. If the Sr. Pastor calls and his boat is goin' out, I try to get free. Sometimes I "walk" the dog by the reservoir. When I lived in Michigan, I carried the equiptment and if I had a half hour I'd stop under a bridge on the Thornapple River. I don't PLAN fishing trips. I do plan caching trips.
  13. I buy ammo boxes for $2.79 at a local surplus, or $8 for the larger ones, and that's hard to beat. I found that bacon bits jars painted flat black do very well in the wild for small caches.
  14. If you click on Denver on the map, "destinations", you get some "Rocky Mountain" store, and not anything about a cache. So, if I lived in Denver, I might try it once.
  15. So how is this different? Who is really behind it? How many caches do they have to offer, (obviously only in a few places), and what's the reason to bother with it?
  16. ....and I'm thinkin'....... sockpuppet account for Jeremy.........
  17. This came up in discussion yesterday with GeaugaGarmin and some Buckeye from Indiana who doesn't approve caches and is newly be-ringed: There are many "monthly" events/coffee nites, and these often rotate location in some form or other. Changing the coordinates becomes an issue. Should there be a special category where the cache owner is allowed to change coords more than 50'? assumption: that cache owner is an experienced, known, and valued cacher who would then be granted "special powers" just for that category. also to consider: should it be loggable on a monthly basis - is that at the discretion of the cache owner. Can it be owned by the association? Then, can it be logged?
  18. Many caches have continued on with the help of Samaritans for many months. Long Term solution may be archival..... or adoption.
  19. I just spent a few minutes trying to find an official definition of "pocket cache," and failed, but it seems likely (considering recent disagreements and threads in this forum) that there are other terms which should be added to a FAQ. My apologies if this terms is already included and I only failed to find it. No intention for additional discussions here. Just add a term that you can't find.
  20. a. I must admit this sounds like grade school tactics to me, and 2. I also know that there are violations out there. I have been instrumental in archiving one extreme example - in three years. I have permission from Police, county parks, city grounds keepers, cemetary managers, etc. for my caches. So, I know it's not impossible to do it right. But I also know that it's pretty easy to find volunteers to go out and pick up the pieces of problem caches - because, for the large part, we do care. and c. the only reason to carry this discussion on (which has been done before), is to continue point a. Looks like you've tasted humble pie.............. but never swallowed.
  21. To me it looks like a larger wolf spider..... but I googled "fishing spider:"
  22. I hear that you must start your journey in Pennsylvania.......
