  1. You can put the HTML link to the video in the description, but can't embed the video.
  2. Actually it's 12,500 miles.
  3. I put the My finds in a separate database in GSAK. There is a plug-in for GSAK that will show on google maps whatever is in the current filter.
  4. Grew up where The White Urkel grew up. In Buffalo, the "exptic dancers" can be topless, but not totally nude. In Canada, they just have to have "something" on (leg warmers or scarf is ok) so we went there. We called it the "Canadian Ballet" We would have car full of guys to going to Canada and Canadian customs would ask where we were going. We would give the bar's name or just say "The Ballet". They'd wave us right in! Another time. I'm headed to Toronto for a scientific conference. I tell them so and I spent several minutes answering questions. Was up to another scientific conference in Toronto on yeast (back in 1984). On the way back, our car has 2 native born Americans, a Pakistani naturalized citizen and a Chilian and Indian with green cards. US Customs looks at the papers and asks what we were in Canada for. We told him a conference on yeast. He gives us a look and asks if we are bringing back any beer (you can bring back a case per adult). We said no. He said "Why not?- next time do so! " and waved us through.
  5. How about going 1, 2, 3 ....
  6. That is a trade secret and Groundspeak won't tell you.
  7. Near the bottom of yor pocket query page there is a section called "My Finds". Click the button marked "Add to queue". It sends you a PQ with all your finds, active, disabled, and archived. You can only click that once a week though. The method you described doesn't give you archived caches that you have found. That's probably the 7 caches you are missing.
  8. My three scheduled PQs ran at 12:30 AM PDT, but were never received in my mail. Checked spam filter on ISP (Earthlink)- not there. Cloned most important one, renamed and set it to delete after runing. Came through immediately.
  9. There was one in my area in a fence post in a park that was painted pink with butterflies on it and was clearly labeled as a geocache. The bomb squad was still called on it.
  10. Signal is all pooped out from walking around GW6 and taking all those pictues and shaking hands.
  11. GW6= Geowoodstock 6, The biggest event in the history of geocaching. It was Saturday in Wheatland, CA. poor town, their population is 2200. We made it about 5200 Saturday!
  12. Um.... about 3000 cchers each getting at least 10 caches. probably more this weekend (I found 30). All the TBs logged at GWVI. It started now because people are just getting home from GWVI. Also some of the lackeys were at GWVI too.
  13. Unlike the original Woodstock, no one gets naked, smokes pot, or tkes mud baths. El Diablo Not even Nude Cacher. He was there and thankfully fully clothed!
  14. The burrs are called foxtails here in CA. They get into your socks at the slightest touch. It was strange weather at GWVI. Cold (low 60s) and it rained overnight before GW. We had 3-4 days of 100 degree weather the week before and it has rained only once since March 1 (except for Friday night).
  15. Different magnifications in Google Maps can come from different dates. I look at job locations in it. The property in this case was built in 2006. In the first one that came up, the property was a vacant field. I zoomed in some and the buildings were under construction. I zoomed in all the way, and the property was finished. This was in an area with the best coverage.
  16. Are you looking for a puzzle cache (one with a question mark). If so, you must solve teh puzzle to get the actual coordinates.
  17. I have a few caches that are designed to surprise the finder. I had one person include a comment that he thought my cache might be to much for a person with a weak heart. Ha! I say, if someones heart is so week that a cache could kill them chances are that person of to week to go geocaching anyway. As far as a fake ralltesnake, we have lots of real rattelsnakes in my area, I have seen one so far this year. Most cacher around here know to watch for rattlesnakes when thet are out, a fake one would not surprise them until they realized it was fake. You do a good job too. One of yours I could determine the camo from the title, but still poked it with my hiking stick to be sure it was fake. We had to throw it back in it's hiding spot without the log because a muggle was coming by and there was no way we could explain why we were holding that. Grabbed it after they left and put back the log.
  18. I fly at Xmas time with computer, GPSr Palm, and phone with chargers and accessories for each- all in my carry on. no problems. Check the magazine for use on plane. I flew Southwest this Christmas. Before 1/1/08- couldn't use it. On return on 1/3/08- I could use it. You need a window set.
  19. An evil blinky might be one put in a snail shell, on the back of a piece of bark or shell from a nut (I have found all these).
  20. I have cached with 4 of the top 10 cachers and yes, they do find that many a day.
  21. There's a GSAK macro that will take your current filter and put them on Google maps.
  22. I've als found nanos that were camoflagued. One wsa placed in a snail shell and the shell was stuck on a metal railing. Another was in a nut shell and that one wsa stuck on a footbridge.
  23. Plus at least three of the crew were in the SF Bay Area showing us how Wherigo works yesterday. Got to speak to Jeremy for a minute or two yesterday. They are probably on their way back to the mothership this morning.
