  1. since October 18th. He maybe done with geocaching. If he doesn't answer e-mails, or check on his cache in the next couple of months, I'd say it's history. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  2. Here are some of my favorite caches. Some are on the list because of loction, or puzzle work needed to solve them. And others remind me of the good times I've had before, and after the caches. In no real order: Vernonia Tracks If it wasn't for this cache, I would have probbly found 10 or 20 of them and quit. It was the first cache I ever attempted to find(took me three tries spanning almost a year), and real made me feal like an adventurer. My first one and I was hooked. Damon a Nomad This was My third find and bubble_luscious's first. This cache is in a great location, and was the start to a great date. It wasn't to long after this day, we were buying her a GPSr. Dancing Men My first puzzle cache, and a great one. A real challenge, especially with a cranky 3 year old in the back seat. After Dark bubble_luscious and I had our first geocaching adventure in PDX back in April of '02. We had the great pleasure of meeting some of the nicest, and most debaucherous cachers in all the land. They treated us to a nite of Micro's, storys that upset Billycavelry, and the After Dark cache. Good times. bubble_luscious and I have been back so many times, we know have our own apartment on S.E. Hawthorne. Well almost. The Apparatus What can I say. This cache made me feel like I was 5 years old again. I could write a book about that weekend. Thanks soup The Pisaster disaster tried of my constant complaining, oregone, LaurenCat, and my sister placed this cache on there recent visit to my stoop. This cache had me sweating, laughing, crying, and wet clear past my knees. What can I say, I am predictable. thanks guys-and so close to home Sylvan sawdust This cache is a perfect mix of hiking, and scenery, and a clever hide. This cache is what it's all about. 4. Poor Billy, His Friday nights are probably filled with Seinfeld re-runs and Diet Dr. Pepper. Sounds like a case of envy to me. The only person on here that has any legitimate gripe with your logs would be Jeremy. And that's only because your eating up all his server space. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  5. I know how oregone would vote...... "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  6. Right now, whatever time it is, at the bottom of the forum home page it says "Members online 1, guests 0". It's only showing me. I don't think I've ever visited the forums and there wasn't atleast 20 people online. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  7. like this one. Platinum problems I found it on page 4, I think. Check them out. There have been many people with the same prob. good luck "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  8. I got my 76S about two weeks ago, and That thing rocks! The best way to describe it is, it's like an etrex Vista on steroids. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  9. Thanks Anders that clears it up. And I think I'll wait for the "official release". "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  10. why are they calling it "beta"? I see 2.01, and than 3.02 beta right below it. which one should i have? "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  11. quote:Originally posted by Dr. Isotope:Another reason for my delay: I had to call in a favor from some of my friends in North Korea. Too soon. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  12. I can't say how well the antenna works, but you should go with the GPS76. You get a few more features plus a pc interface cable. So when Garmin puts out software updates, you can upload them. The GPS72 will probably cost you the same if buy the cable after market. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  13. we found everything in Fredrick's of Hollywood,(minus the Sparks) but the overnight shipping charge is murder. *sigh "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  14. Exchange geocachers. Sounds enteresting. It might be a cheap way to travel Europe! Or in your case, America. You might be on to something. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  15. Say, milkman, which one did you buy? "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  16. You really want me to have a bad Friday don't you! Than again, I do have two floating holiday's I can take. hum? "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  17. test "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  18. I was wondering if anyone was enterested in starting a forum on the WSGA site? I just saw the one for Idaho geocachers, and it looks like a good idea. Any thoughts? thier site is: http://www.idahogeocachers.org/forum/ "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  19. I'll give my review after it gets here. We(bubble_luscious and I) currently own a basic etrex, and a etrex Legend. I thought about a Meri Plat, but have no complaints with the Garmin brand, and was too chicken to try the Magellan. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  20. The government tracking YOUR every move..... does this sound bad to anyone else? And if that isn't bad enough, then they would know where all the caches are hidden. Not good, unless they use a etrex patch antenna. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  21. Next summer i'd be up for a trip your way for some caching. And if I'm correct, judging by your handle, we work in the same industry. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  22. quote:Originally posted by Rocket Man:I have seen this topic discussed before http://opentopic.Groundspeak.com/0/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=1750973553&f=3000917383&m=3060957535, but I just don’t understand the large numbers per day that are being reported in these threads. Who cares about quantity if the caches aren't interesting? RM I mostly agree. But this was a one of a kind deal with a party atmosphere. Of the 37, i only found 4 myself. heck some were found before i was out of the car. It was more about socializing and putting faces to cachers you've never met. I had fun, but for regular caching, I go for quality, not quanity. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  23. Whats the most caches you've hit in one day. I was recently apart of the Bremerton Cache machine event, and most all of us hit 37/38 out of 40. I didn't think it was possible. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  24. hit this one if you get the chance. It's a good one. The cache predates geocaching. They called it "stash hunt" back than. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
  25. The compass on the merigreen only works if you are moving.(uses the sat's). The 3-axil compass on the meriplat is independant and will work without a sat. lock. The same is true of the altitude readings. THe merigreen uses the sat's. to triangulate the reading, the meriplat takes a barometric reading to calculate your altitude. Now if I could just decide Between the Meriplat, and the GPSmap 76S for my next GPSr? "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night."
