The coordinates you give here for Saturday dinner are way off. They should be N 46° 08.820', W 122° 55.752'.

On the left hand pane is a "Map Preferences" button. Selecting it allows you to choose between Google and the Leaflet maps. Never saw that before. Thanks!

I am less overjoyed with their return. I was getting used to the old ones, and really enjoyed having county lines on the maps. It's too bad we can't have the other ones as an option.

I just finally got my platinum certification. I have found 108 ECs, but the writing part is not easy for me. The third one was approved this morning, and I'm still working on 4, 5 and 6. Even though the new 'awards' won't involve writing more, I still want to contribute. And since it is still early here, I had to tell *somebody* without possibly waking people up.

The first one that you mentioned should be deleted without hesitation. I've deleted similar posts on mine, where they don't even try. The other folks look like they simply forgot to include the GPSr, and going 2,000 miles just to take another pic seems a bit much. I would let them slide. Maybe put the pic requirements in bold for the next time, but I wouldn't delete these guys.

How would an avalanche differ from a landslide? I've always thought that avalanches involved snow.

My problems started the day that I changed my home coords. Ever since then, I have received zero new cache notifications, and zero logs for my caches. I do get the weekly updates, however. FYI, I have been using the same Yahoo account for several years. And I'm not in the mood to move to gmail just to satisfy people that I pay for service.

As of this morning (the 19th) the Weather Channel site is saying scattered showers and a 30% chance of rain. I'd love to try this 'marathon', but was wondering if a slower group was forming up.
