    Supplies

When I am in need of caching supplies, I hit up a circuit of flea markets and peddlers malls. Ammo cans, weird containers, and the such are usually floating around if you know where to look. Walmart is always my second stop for things like camo tape, 89 cent match stick containers, and cheap log books. I've never went myself, but Army Surplus stores seem like a good place to look for ammo cans. I've also bought a few things from eBay for caches and have yet to be disappointed.
  5. I usually just try to be as low profile as possible. For ammo cans in the woods or even in more urban areas, I either move farther away from prying eyes or sit around ground zero and examine my trade choices. One tactic I liked to use early on was I just brought my back back and would slide the ammo can or cache in it and just pretend to be riffling through my back pack for something. Urban micros, however, are an entirely different exercise in being stealthy and inconspicious.
  6. Geocaching: Ticks, Thorns, and Muggles; Oh my! Geocaching: @#$%! Its up there isn't it?
  7. I couldn't even imagine how different my definition of hill and Deermark's is judging by the last few of his caches I have done!!
  8. Already ordered mine, but I'll be heard pressed to release it!
  9. I've seen a few Coo Coo for Caching coins floating around. Hope you enjoy you coins! Remember letting them lose lets other people enjoy them too.
  10. I totally forgot, but I am a sucker when it comes to buttons. I've took several pins and little buttons out of caches. One of my prized posessions is a giant ( probly 6 inch circumfrence ) bartman from the simpsons button.
  11. Just curious, but what do my fellow cachers do with the swag they take out of caches? Personally, I collect all the swag I trade for and keep it in a dresser drawer ( 200 found and im already almost full! ) but my geocaching partner in crime Slightlysavvy tends to just start the day with one or two items and trade over and over. Enlighten me!
  12. The weirdest things I have found are limited to adult materials stashed near a cache at a truck stop and a dead mole I sat down about 6 inches from. EKK!
  13. New cacher from Jeffersonville, IN. Been caching since the beginning of March. Already hid a few of my own.
  14. Had been out to this location probly two years before I discovered caching, imagine how excited I was when I discovered a cache was there and I had an excuse to go back
  15. Just got my coin in. Its amazing the pictures just dont do it enough justice! I didn't read through all of the posts, but I did notice that the icon is the generic coin icon when I enabled it.
  16. Lets hope for an orange jeep .
  17. I'll stop lurking and say hello. Hello. I just bought my first two geocoins, an OTT Roulette coin and a Geocaching Injury purple heart coin. And I think I'll take a moment from adoring them to introduce myself and ask a few newbie questions. Still haven't quite grasped what a "mystery" coin is. But let me take a swing, its a coin that some nice soul just randomly drops into a cache or mails ro someone and doesn't annouce its minting or creation? And, even thought I know it has a tracking number for a reason, but is it that bad that I don't want to drop my coins in a cache?!
  18. I some how posted twice. Score?
  19. althought its not as long as the others, I recently found Miss America that had been MIA for a little over a year. When I logged it the owners sent me a letter to the extent of "Oh! Thank you for finding our bug! It was one of our firsts we had let loose". Felt good! The bug has appeared 242 miles away from where it was last logged.
