Castle Coins & Pins

As pointed out by one person here the Viking Heritage Axe Geocoins have their own tracking numbers and their own icon as do the Viking Heritage Shield Geocoins. They were sold in sets as also pointed out to keep from having (50) shields left over after the axes were sold out. We ONLY minted this series once and WILL NOT re-mint them. These are the first two of our Heritage Series and we wanted the numbers low to keep the collectible value high.

Matlock75’s V1 Compass Rose Geocoins These BEAUTIFUL geocoins were designed for my great friend Holger “matlock75” on geocaching.com. Holger and I decided one night while chatting we needed to do a personal coin for him and the final product I am sure you will agree is fantastic! Can you say Compass Rose? If you liked some of the other compass rose designs out there in the geo-world you are sure to love this one. Each section of the design has a different 2nd level texture to give the ultimate light reflection and the colors were selected by Holger and I to bring out the very best mixture of design and flare (the same flare Holger shows in his dedication to our sport). A LITTLE ABOUT MY FRIEND AND THE COINS: This is the Fist Personal Geocoin from Matlock75. He is a German Geocacher and also a Moderator from the Green Forum (Germany), he moderates the Geocoin Forum. The front side of the coin pinpoints the Location where he lives (at the tip of the dart point). Also included is the date, when he began Geocaching. You will find a Mystery Symbol near the bottom, this marks where he was born. The town is called Munich and is also the government capital of Bavaria. A few weeks after he was born his parents moved with him to Untermeitingen a little city in Bavaria. He grew up in a village near Schwabmünchen, the area where you will see the Symbol of the Traditional Cache. The footprints will show you his path from Munich, to Schwabmünchen, and to the town where he lives today (Rheinstetten) near Karlsruhe and the border to France. You also find the map of Bavaria on the right side and the Map from Baden Württemberg on the left side (Matlock75’s home regions). Playing Soft Darts and doing “tricks” with his Stunt Kites prompted us to add these for a personal touch. The kite shows the flag of Baden Württemberg and the German Flag (black, red and yellow (gold), as shown on the Dart Flight which represents his heritage. The stars on the outside are a secret addition only known to Holger. Ask him about them to find out why they are on these coins. Minting: There are 2 different regular editions 1.75” x 3.5mm (3-D), trackable with icons: Polished Nickel with Blues, Reds and Gold colored enamels, glitters and glow in the dark moons. Polished Gold with Greens, Reds, Gold colored enamels, glitters and glow in the dark moons. The Highland Geofairy Made a Purple/Purple version, Yellow/Red Glitter version, her Classic White/Blue version and a Very Special Black and Gold Version that only she will be dropping. Will there be a remint of the purple/purple and yellow/red color combos? I missed the sale too and if not, I'm going to try and start trading for both version if you two are not reminting them. Thanks. If there were to be a re-mint of any it would be up to the HGF....but I wouldn't count on it.

To make things easy for everyone I installed an active DATE/CLOCK on the home page of my site that is set to my current time. This should help out anyone if different time zones figure out when items will come available. Feedback is very welcome with this idea.

THOR IS SOLD OUT!! Naomi and I want to thank you all of you who got in on her design. And as promised I will spread out percentages of the upcoming LAST minting of the 2-Tone Editions so as many people as possible can get at least one. There will be LIMITS of 1 per order to try and allow everyone to get one.

As of right now there are only 9 Nickel and 9 Bronze left. All of the coins were processed and then the overage placed in the web store. There are NO Copper left, only 9 made the store today and left the store in less than 2 minutes. Anyone wanting a 2-Tone edition keep an eye on this thread. We'll announce when they will be available in a few weeks. I will stagger the sales on these by placing a percentage at 0800 PDT, 1600 PDT and 2300 PDT. This should allow anyone sleep or availablility.

The website is now saying "limit 1" on the 2-tones. I am not sure if that was enforced during the first round. I will be at work for the second release. I would be interested in a trade for a 2-Tone as well. Well, I can assure you it WAS. There were over 90 people on the site when the sale started and I would imagine many did not get the one's they wanted because other folks were faster. That is why there will be more of the two tones in about 3 weeks. The Antique Editions however are advertised as a single minting so when they are gone, they are gone. The second minting will be the last for the two tones as well. Then Thor will go to sleep.

Only about half of the coins will post at midnight and then I'll add the remaining coins in at about 0800 on April 2nd. This should give both sides of the pond plenty of coins to be able to get. As Naomi pointed out, the Antique Editions will NOT be re-minted so if you want one get 'em while ya can.
