  1. I have also run into this problem as well. On occasion the red arrow on my compass will just disappear, powering the unit off and then back on corrects it but then give it a week or two and it will happen again. I have had this happen to me in the summer time here also and have a friend who has the same model and has seen it happen as well. I only wish I had a solution for you.
  2. I believe you undetstand what I was trying to say and I undersatnad you. In other words if you use any icons other than the open/closed chest all you cache names will appear under the "Waypoints" icon instead of the "Geocaches" icon Thanks, You answered my question even though I wish the answer was different. I've only been geocaching for about 3 or 4 months and I don't know whay any of these GPSr manufactures have not designed a model just for people who are into Geo-caching and market it towards them. Doesn't seem to me like there is too much competition between GPSr manufactures but I suspect most of the R&D is tied up in the automobile market.
  3. I recently have been browsing through the threads and foudn out how to change my icons on my Garmin 60csx. Much better than just having the open/closed Treasure chest. Before changing the icons when I loaded waypoints into the unit from GSAk they would display under "Geocaches" and not "Waypoint" only parkign, trailhead, etc.. would display under waypoints. I am wonder is there any way to get waypoints for geocaches to display under "Geocahces" and child waypoints to display under "Waypoints" I hope I have made myself clear on this. Thanks to everyone who put together the thread on how to change your icons. ice009
