  1. If you could add favorite points to posts, yours would definitely get one. Thanks for sharing!!!
  2. Thank you for the link and insight. I may not necessary agree with this application of the attribute, but at least now, I know why it is used.
  3. Good evening All: I'm curious as to why some CO's would choose to fasely advertise their geocaches? Specifically I'm working on a SCUBA (some snorkeling) list. After searching all countries for SCUBA-related caches, I found that most worldwide caches were legit with their listings. It was not until I searched the individual States that I found an absurdly large number of unrelated (yet SCUBA-identified) caches. I found over 2,000 caches (usually ones in a series) that were falsely identified as SCUBA-related. These were mainly found in California, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. I'm curious as to why this would be done intentionally (on such a large-scale) or why it's acceptable? Don't get me wrong, I understand (and even chuckle at the Liar, Liar caches), but for over 2K to be done so like this. Really?
  4. Favorite georide to date was the Freeport Historical Geotrail in Pennsylvania. It was a warm, relaxing and peaceful trip that I don't think could have been better. Also gave us an opportunity to finish up the Alleghany Geotrail. Like many others previously in this thread, current location does not conveniently advocate geobike rides as much as we'd like.
  5. I concur with @Don J that the static link at the top was highly convenient and readily used. Respectfully request its return.
  6. Just counted - have 29 trackables that have gone MIA and only another 8 that are still circulating. On the bright side, one of my favorite trackables released in (and subsequently gone missing) in 2008, just got dropped in a cache in January. May it have safe journeys! Also here's hoping your trackables are recovered.
  7. Good evening, All! We were wondering if there's a geocaching organization in/around Sasebo or Nagasaki Prefecture. Any info would be sincerely appreciated. Have a good one! ~ Misty (of Travelers_on_a_Whim)
  8. While caching back in my home state of Oklahoma, I once found a cache with shotgun ammunition in it.
