  3. Hi, My family and I did our first cach yesterday. We all enjoyed the adventure, especially the kids. I did however find out that I need some help I do plan to use the paperless geocach mode, but this weekend, I tried the manual method. Here's what I did, if someone could let me know if I approached it correctly. 1. I went to "mark waypoint" on menu 2. then edit 3. then change location 4. then entered the coords 5. I then went to "where to?" on menu 6. then waypoints and then the one i just stored 7. then went to the map view. 8. used it to direct me to the location. I'm thinking there must be a better way, and is it possible to use the compass view to lead you to the cach? Sorry for the noob questions Mark ps.. I hope this is the correct forum for this question.
  4. Does anyone know if Garmin is aware of this problem?
  5. Have you installed firmware version 2.4, which is the latest firmware version? If not, that is probably the cause of the lack of a description of the lake. I'm up to date... version 2.4... thanks for the reply Anyone else notice this?
  6. Well I've loaded Canadian topos on my colorado, and was zooming in on a local lake. no description of the lake appeared. hmmm So I grabbed my father in laws 76csx, with Canadian tops (same version) and checked the same lake and a name appeared. And ideas, am I missing a setting on the colorado?... or maybe did something wrong when I downloaded to my sd card? I'd think both units would provide same info. Any help would be apreciated Thanks Mark,
  7. Hi all, I just purchased a Colorado, and bought a 4gb sd card. Also purchased navigator dvd, which i unlocked and added to the 4gb card. Here is my question, I have garmin canadian topos built into a micro card which I purchased from gpscity for another unit. The card will work in my colorado, but I'd like to copy the topos from the micro and add them to the 4gb card. ( so I don't have to switch out cards) Is it possible to copy the files from the micro to the 4gb? Thanks for any help on this. Mark,
