  1. I don't know what's wrong then but I don't see any change on your profile.
  2. Account settings -> Preferences -> uncheck "Block friend requests from other geocachers".
  3. On a local cacher's profile I can see the "Send This Person a Friend Request" link but not on yours so you probably didn't allow friend requests.
  4. Sorry, forgot to switch off Greasemonkey temporarily (the VIP icon is created by GC little helper script). So currently it looks like this:
  5. GrayHawk613: yep, you use the old style. Try the new code that Gill & Tony put here. This is how it looks like in my FF 34.0.5:
  6. I've just got confused and thought: "Wait, this DOES work already, I use it frequently." But soon after that I figured out this functionality is brought by "GC little helper" script. I agree, this could be standard behaviour of the site. But if I were you I would try GCLH and you'll get much more improvements besides log type filtering. Groundspeak is just not capable of doing anything reasonable with gc.com.
  7. I'm not so sure because it appears to me that those caches got on the radar because they had a DNF as last log and the last find log took place long ago. You're right, Cezanne, but J Grouchy is as well. All those mentioned caches have one thing in common - owner non-responsiveness. 4wheelin fool: give us an example of a cache that got archived by OReviewer even though the CO had responded in any way. Now that would be interesting.
  8. I've just come across a cache that has been in "Needs Maintenance" condition for nearly two years (from 2013-01-26). Its owner is active but he is not alerted about this and he doesn't seem to care.
  9. Typical situation when I get a Needs Maintenance log but don't have to take immediate action is log: "There is one clear page left in the logbook, should be replaced soon." on a cache that gets one visit a month, so I don't need to hurry. But still would love to be notified about this everytime I log on so I don't forget to buy and prepare a new logbook and plan a maintenance visit to my cache.
  10. Reminds me of the cache Zamecky rybnik which I DNF'ed two times within three days.
  11. Well, those cachers found the other box in good faith that they had yours. Why not keep their "Found It" logs if they signed the logbook. But you say the Tupperware box was empty...
  12. I confirm this bug, it's a long lasting one. Maps on provided links are blind and inactive, cannot move it or zoom in/out. The screenshot is for GC5G856. Firefox 33.1.1 on Win 7 x64.
  13. Yes, they need serious competition. Someone would have to introduce robust international site with similar features and with all the things we call for and Groundspeak refuses to implement/fix. We would be surprised how quickly GS would find resources. And as to checkers: I use the good old Evince on my new cache. I admit being a little bit sadistic but I just like it - the nerves you've got waiting for the server response just to get "Sorry!" and the "Whoa pardner! Not so fast" message when trying more than once in ten minutes.
  14. GrandPotentateOfA51N: do not hesitate to contact your local volunteer reviewer or Groundspeak support to unarchive (and lock) your deleted DNF log on that cache. It's part of your caching history and there is nothing wrong with that log or the attached photo.
  15. If I saw such a thing I wouldn't hesitate with logging a NM with text: "OK, but until then this cache still needs maintenance!" to renew the red cross/wrench.
  16. "Why not act on it when you get it?" Well, example - I've just received a NM log in my mailbox, but I'm not going anywhere now because it's nearly midnight. Anyway, my cache is deep in woods or mountains so I'l be able to get there maybe next week-end, but much likely in two or three weeks. But during next days this NM log will get burried under a pile of incoming e-mails and therefore I just forget... "maybe they have more caches hidden than they can reasonably maintain" - agreed. These people should be informed that they have duties and they may decide to archive/transfer/maintain some of their caches if they don't keep up.
  17. As you may read in my initial post, I test-posted a NM log on the "VT 2" cache and nothing got overridden (I sure deleted my log afterwards as normally removing a NM log doesn't remove the red wrench/cross, it stays there until CO issues "Owner maintenance" log or manually unchecks the attribute in the attribute editing page). Try it yourself.
  18. Just wondering - how to set an attribute "Doesn't need maintenace" on a cache just like this one has it? (and all of the power trail caches from VT 2 to VT 112). I am looking into editing attributes on one of my caches and just am not able to find such an attribute. I even tried to post a NM log on VT 2 and it really did not set "Needs Maintenance" attribute (red wrench) so it definitely prohibits cachers to put this cache into a NM state.
  19. Great idea, some people are just not aware of their caches that need maintenance - they accidentally delete the NM log with tens of FI logs from their mailbox or they read it but forget about the NM status shortly afterwards or just don't check their owned caches list on a regular basis. I would find it useful to get notified everytime I open my profile, it would encourage me to include maintenance of my cache into my next caching trip. I like my caches, that's why I created them and I want to keep them in a perfect condition. So do other owners. The more caches are in a good shape the more satisfied customers renew their PM membership. .
  20. I'm sorry to hear that. But who will miss the location info anyways. And by the way, your DNF count now displays just perfectly here.
  21. Maybe it would be better to use absolute positioning which is not sensitive to the content that may get in front of our custom DIV but is related only to the parent element. A quick tune in Firebug for your profile, Chrysalides, resulted in these settings: position:absolute; top:63px; left:433px Try it and if it looks perfect on your system then this could be the way to go. .
  22. You won't, jellis. I want to try it as well but I've just found out this script is located on userscripts.org, which has been shut down some time ago.
  23. Maybe the location really matters? Still awaiting confirmation from Bigmada as well. Thanks Chrysalides - BTW you also think you tuned the position of your DNF's perfectly in your Firefox, right? So this is how it looks in mine:
  24. OK, let's test it - I deleted my location. No visible change in my Firefox (besides the missing location). How does it look from your side?
