  1. To start I have to confess I have found caches prior to their publication. The reasons vary, on one I had received prior info from the CO to entice me back out to do maintenance on another of his nearby caches, one was part of an event saving caches for the event participants, and the remainder were part of cache series and using geosense and information available to all was able to make the find. I count them all as finds and have received bitches from other geocachers in varying degrees. I keep my own list and as other have pointed out it makes no difference. I'm honest in my logs and date them approppriately. I will point out one thing that I've recently noticed, it appears that my finds on caches found prior to publication don't count in the Favorite Point calculation. I haven't decided if I care about Favorite points and haven't awarded any as yet, so let the record show I'm owed another Favorite Point. I also have the radical belief that you can share a FTF and have share over 3 dozen and enjoyed them all the more for the company. It's a game and I have a lot of fun with it.
  2. I don't post very often, but my new Garmin came today. I've been without a gps for about 10 days. On April 3rd in Bethlehem PA I did Beer Run GC27CRJ. A nice little micro I took back to the hood of my car to sign the log. Put the GPS on the hood next to the windshield, signed the log and replaced the cache and headed home. Was very pleased with myself as I had found 16 caches that morning and would be home before 11 am. As I packing for a trip to Delaware I realize I can't find my gps. If any one hears of someone finding a Garmin 60CSx but I'm not holding out much hope. Which lead me to make this post, besides the Garmin, I've lost a Blackberry, a Cell Phone, a Monocular, two Walking Sticks, Flashlights, and too many pens to even count. I have no one to blame but myself and have been fortunate in that some of my lost items have turned up, but I was wondering how common this is.
  3. I'd like to thank all for their congratulations and special thanks to the people that have hidden all the caches that I have found.
  4. I've got about 150 finds and thought I would try some locationless caches. The first one I tried was the Blue Star Memorial. I was almost to the bottom of the page when the one I found came up as logged. Is there a way to run the logs by coordinates instead of dates? I've got ideas for a couple but couldn't figure how to post, can anyone help. Keithj999
