well im still new to the sport...ive only found 7 caches in the last month and last week i placed my first cache....I must say HIDING is way better... but the more i find the better the ideas i have at hiding...lol

Yeah Pat you were one of the first to grab my newly placed Cache... What you think about it?...i got a few other IDEAS for placement of others around the BR area..if you want some...ill share....But as far as LSU its a open grounds university..and there is alot of them around there i think 5-6 caches placed on it already...Im planning on putting some there soon...The way I see it, Im an alumni so i kinda still have the right to roam around the campus if i want to...lol

I feel your pain Pat, im here in BR too and Im looking to place some caches....I just put one in port allen...but back on topic i use to work at a set of apartments before i became an engineer, and they use to hate people lurking around so i dont think its such a good idea unless there is a large area between the complexes for tennis and basketball.

Holy Run-on Sentence Batman! Got one better than that! I recently attempted to place a cache near a shopping center.. once placed i walked back to my truck and climbed in and sat there for a sec fiddling with my gps. And do you know a dude walked up not 10 min after i placed it and reached down and grabbed it. I couldnt believe it...i confronted him and he said he watched me from his vehicle and wanted to see what it was that i was hiding. Needless to say i removed it and im in process of trying to rehide it in a diff location. How bout that!

I am looking to buy the Garmin Legend...yes the blue one and i have a choice between the following... TOPO U.S.2008, METROGUIDE, ROADS & RECREATION, US RECREATIONAL LAKES with FISHING HOT SPOTS, WORLDMAP Which one would help me the most with driving and Geocaching? Im thinking roads and recreation would be the best bet either that or the metroguide. Thanks DE
