  1. I am wanting to place a new cache on some Surrey County Council Managed land and am intending to contact them to seek official permission due to the ecological importance of the site. However, it just occurred to me...what if I do approach them and they decline permission, I have drawn their attention to geocaching and by then they will know there are other caches (most likely placed without permission) on their land. They could then, like the New Forest did, start removing the caches. Any thoughts on this?
  2. Thanks everyone - managed to do what I needed - now lets just see if I can find the cache!!!
  3. I am currently trying to solve (one of the more complicated) multi caches and have found the need to create maps (say using www.streetmap.com or something similar)...however I have discovered that I cannot use the format dd.mm.mmm to enter the coordinates...is there any way I can convert them to briitsh grid or similar easily? I tried using jeeep.com but despite seemingly doing it right, the maps I created were always a few miles out from where the coordinates should be. Any ideas??? Thanks
  4. Just a quick query...how long do you feel it is acceptable for a person to hang on to a travel bug they've picked up before dropping it off again? If you find one of your TBs has been stuck with a person for a while is it acceptable to follow up with that cacher? I would be interested in your views... Thanks!
  5. I changed mine a couple of months back and it created no problems what so ever. Hope this helps.
  6. 347 within 25 miles of me (Egham, Surrey). Makes my current 96 found caches look a little pathetic!!! Guess I ought to get busy finding the others!!
  7. Wow - That's impressive! Congrats Seasider. Erika!
