Hello all Still plugging away on my cart Getting close to field testing time...which is a good thing as I don't have many days left to get this thing out in time for our local cache competition! A portion of my cart relies on timers that trigger messages once they elapse. The problem I am running into is that whenever there is a race condition (the trigger for the timer goes off and tries to display a message when the user has another message open) the emulator is crashing. I am assuming this is a fairly common issue (if it's not, perhaps it is something else...but race conditions are often hell on code that isn't rock solid) and I was just wondering if there is a way to pause the timers while a message window is up and then resume them on close (or click I guess) Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide! PS - Or if there is a way to tell the Timer to not display it's message when another message is already up...that work work as well!

I have seen a few mentions about problems with tasks on Garmin players, and I have seen mentions of work-arounds, but I haven't been able to find a post (and I have tried searching) that covers this in detail. So far I have been able to not use any tasks in my cart, and have masked what I had planned to do as tasks with other commands, but there are a few instances where I think tasks make the most sense, so if there is any detailed information on how to setup a task that will work on the Garmin players, a point in that direction would be great! Also, I am finding the task commands in Urwigo a little confusing. I test programmed a couple of different tasks, but couldn't get any of them to trigger in the emulator. It could be related to the above, but I am not sure. Thanks again for any help/info! It's much appreciated!

Thanks guys For the purpose of characters, does making them non-visible make them inactive? All I can see for Characters is the option to make them visible/non-visible. Thanks a ton for the help!

Hello all. Brand new to the Wherigo world, and trying to build my first cart. Started using the official builder, but switched over to Urwigo after reading all the feedback. Some parts seem easier on Urwigo, but being unfamiliar with some of the terms (even after going through the Wherigo tutorials) can make it difficult. So here is my question...and please keep in mind that I am fairly tech-stupid I am trying to set a condition that will cause a character to be set to visible in a zone if they are currently in the zone. This character is going to be present at this zone at the start of the cart, but will not be there when the player returns later and I don't want him turning visible when the player returns as this character will no longer be among the living Thanks in advance for any advice...and expect a ton more questions as I try to muddle my way through this, hehe.

Hello all. Our first TB, Totally Twister'd (TB26YQA), was picked up by a cacher named caper 74 (From Ottawa) a few months ago, but never logged as a pickup on the TB page. It seems pretty clear that the cacher has more or less stopped caching, as they only have 1 find in the last year or so. I have emailed a couple of times and received no response, but I was hoping that someone here might know them or someone they cache with so that i can hopefully get this TB back moving again. Thanks all if anyone is able to help

I have two stories, one funny and one sweet. The sweet one is that when I was 10 years old I had a severe allergic reaction to a medication and ended up in the hospital for over a month with basically 2-3rd degree burns over my entire body due to the reaction (Steven's Johnson Syndrome). For the entire time I was in all three of the hospitals I was in, my Mom never left for anything other then a shower or to get something to eat. She lived on a cot in my room and never left my side. The funny one is when I was about 13 or so, we used to travel back and forth to San Diego, CA from Vancouver, BC and we usually went through Nevada on the way down and back for a little vacation. My mom is fairly conservative and not generally the type of person to do something wild and crazy, but as we were nearing the border of Nevada and California, we wanted to stop at the border casino for dinner and a chance for me to play at the arcade. My mom missed the exit and was about to enter California when she all of a sudden turned on the 4x4 and pulled off the freeway into the desert next to the road. She drove back towards the casino through the desert and then pulled back onto the freeway, going the wrong way so she could get on the exit. By far the most surprising thing my mom has ever done. Hello all. I had a question about the puzzle or '?' caches. For those that have a puzzle or where you need to hunt for the co-ordinates to the cache...what are the co-ordinates at the top of the log for? Thanks
