If you look at the geographical population center of the USA. Im pretty sure its East of the Mississippi. If they want the masses attending, why is this any surprise?

I used to cache almost exclusively solo, I met a geocaching partner, while at an event cache, we became friends and now are dating. Caching is so much fun when shared with another person who also is dedicated to the hobby. I'm a believer!

I personally feel "leapfrogging" is cheating, so I wont travel with a group that follows that practice. I have, and will container swap, but only one container at a time, as it saves valuable time when caching with 2 or more people.

And what happened there to that one? A cache thief stole 2/3 of the caches right before I did the trail.

Im glad I did the TOTG when I did. You can bet that I will not waste time caching the ET Highway Invasion Trail in case something happens there as well. Is there a moral to the story? Id say "Make hay while the sun shines" Ive already been screwed 2 times on the Redwood Rd Highway 68 power trail in UT because of bad timing.

If I'm doing Park Caches I wear my Pacific Life Insurance Company polo shirt, as I am inspecting the playground equipment for YOUR childs safety. If Im road side caching I wear the orange safety vest along with a magnetic placard for my car..."Converse Geotechnical Services". At the very least, always carry a cell phone and a clipboard, and USE it for those phantom conversations! Very few muggles will approach you when you're on the cell phone. This also works well for the rent-a-cops that are encountered in mall parking lots.

I don't like the 15 mile max search function. I also liked the way the old caches were numbered and appeared on the same page. Like anything else, it will take some getting used to.

There is a similar Puzzle (Unknown) cache called State Capital Quest: GCV7NG, I like this idea because you pick any cache in the State Capital City to log as long as you also take your pic in front of the capitol building as well. I can see myself busting my tail to get to Juneau only to find the official "Alaska" cache was muggeled 2 days ago, and the owner is out of town. The concept is great, its the execution that may pose problems to some.

As the First to Find of the compilation cache "Found All 50 states Im going to Disneyland" I think this 50 state multi should revolve somewhere around the actual 50 State Capitals. It would present a much more difficult challange than say, for instance, slipping into the FL panhandle, to grab the FL cache. Its a teriffic idea either way....I will look forward to the challange with quivering anticipation!

I believe in the merit system...if the cache is unique I'll post a unique response...If the cache is a Wally World lamppost....you'll get the generic response....After all how creative and verbose can you be about a Hide a Key container?

With gas prices approaching $3.00/gal around here I now make a few 3 day trips out to Southern Calif...Hit the power trails near Palm Spgs....cache the Yorba Linda area...and head back to AZ...To me its worth the trip over there for the amount of caches you get. Gone are the days of hitting the AZ back country trails in my Wrangler to get 3 caches and spend $30.00 in gas just to get them.

They replied......dont know how or why they chose to reply now...perhaps its good Forum Karma....it dosent matter. Im just glad they did!

To me $3.00 per month to help support a hobby I love so much is chump change. Let "Members only" be an option I say.....I spend 4 times that amount on a daily basis in gas chasing down caches in and out of my area.

That could actually go both ways. Good Idea to check the Spam Folder! I checked.....Nothing! Well I'll be reasonable..give them another week or so to respond....meanwhile.....Im going to start setting my sights on getting all the provinces and terriotries of our neighbors to the North! Hmm wonder if theres a compilation cache for all 50 states + Canada's Provinces and Territories.....Anyone know???? On second thought....just checked the weather in Iqaluit....-27 degrees...perhaps I'll wait for Summer!

If there were prerequsites to finding all 50 states i.e Finding Californias 58 counties, dont you think that would be clearly noted on the cache page? And if that was a requirement, dont you think a reasonable owner would e-mail me as to why he/she isnt giving me the final coords?

As an avid cacher in Arizona (2300+ finds), this is the first time I have posted a topic to the forums. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can claim credit for Found 50 States, I'm Going to Disneyland! by Team Geo-Rangers (GCRFNN)? I have repeatedly tried to contact the cache owners and have received no reply....I’ve posted a few notes on the cache website....no response. If the owner can’t be bothered answering emails, I am considering a request the cache be archived. This REALLY REALLY frustrates me as I have gone to great lengths and spent lots of $$$ trying to get all 50 states. I know it’s only been 10 days, but I have noticed that the cache owners log into the site daily. I’m sure they are aware of my accomplishment.... I just want the final coordinates! What would you do???? Found 50 States, I'm Going to Disneyland!

At 2.39 per gallon of gas......whats $3.00 per month to our favorite website? If only half of the cachers paid this small pittance.....Think of what an incredibly fast website this could be!

I vote for I RON WOOD in Apache Jct AZ as my most difficult find....a nasty little micro!

I think the fun of the multi are the steps involved in finding the thing...The best multi's that I can remember are ones with a THEME or a themed puzzle....Then I think stocking the final cache with something that repersents the THEME.is neat.....Example: Phantom Menace Cache ihere in Mesa AZ

I put all my DNFs in my home state on my watch list so that if there is a "find" later, I can go back and try harder!
