Now here is some perspective ! Concur

Problem - I can not access my past cache logs under "Geocaches (yours)" where the calendar displays with days you logged accented. I can view logs for any day in Jan 2010 and Dec 2009 but if I pick a day in any month before Dec 2009 I get "Server Error 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are for, and it cannot be displayed." If I use this same feature under 'Trackable Items (yours)' it works fine on for selected days back to January 2008. And it works quickly, I might add. The cache logs when it does display, it much slower. Vista SP2 Firefox3.5.7

I was online reconning the Valley of Fire State Park near Las Vegas NV for our upcoming trip. Nearly all caches in the park have been inactivated. I inquired of the State Park and they indicated they had asked that the caches be placed on inactive status. They were unaware of the geocaches in the park and are now in the process of formulatting their policy on geocaching in the park. Is there any organized official or quasi-official body that represents the interests of geocaching in these matters so there is good information provided to the government entities as they formulate policy? I would like to be involved but I am not sure if my effort will be redundant and perhaps less effective than existing resources available for this situation. I am guessing this is not the first brush between geocaching and government administration.
