I heard about it while camping with my cousin this past fall. We didn't do it because we ended up getting side tracked. I kept thinking about it and I was able to find a GPS that was inexpensive and easy to use. I have found two that are in a very high muggle traffic area. I have to wait until they leave College for the weekend to check them out. I loved the idea of modern day pirate treasure hunt! I used to hide my own "treasure" when I was a kid and draw detailed maps of my yard.

Hi I am a lurker... I only found this site yesterday. I first heard about Geocaching from my cousin this past September. It sounded like it was right up my alley. I love to be outdoors, camp, and hike. I also love to stray off trail (without destroying vegetation ). I am starting out with a Garmin Etrex H. I have found two caches I just have to wait until the snow melts and time it just right so my Husband and I are not spotted by Muggles. I already have an idea of where I would like to place a few caches once I get the hang of it.
