  1. I do my online logging when I get back to the computer. If the FTF hasnt logged yet, no biggie, I'll just mention in my log that I was second, third or whatever.
  2. Remember the scene at the end of twister when Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt lashed themself to a water pipe? I'd go tie myself in now if I were there.
  3. The published log is automatically posted to the cache page when the reviewer clicks the button to list it. This log triggers an email to be sent out to everyone within 50 miles who are signed up to the new notification service.
  4. Any caches within 100 miles of New Orleans will be a definite 5/5 for the next few days if not longer.
  5. This monster is packing maximum sustained winds of about 175 miles per hour which equivalent to an F3 tornado except in this case, the damage path is hundreds of miles across rather than a hundred feet. While my heart goes out to everyone down there, the word STUPID comes to mind on anyone who doesn't at least try to get the hell out of its way. They wouldn't be taking it so lightly if the F3 tornado equivalent was headed straight at their house
  6. I disagree. Even though the WJTB's belong to the Jeep Corporation, they were released for the enjoyment of all cachers. When someone steals a Jeep, they are really steaing from the whole community not just an individual.
  7. I don't disable my caches in the winter but I do make a note that finds in the snow could be difficult. I carry a stick with me when caching in the snow to poke around the base of trees and rocks listening for the thud of tupperware or the clang of an ammo can.
  8. Ive had numerous close calls but no accidents.
  9. Anything you add to your profile is visible to all.
  10. As I mentioned above, I have proposes a new Waymarking categorywhich will be a place where the owner's of exixsting virtuals can list their caches. The cache owners will be able to keep all the same logging requirements as they has previously thus preserving the cache integrity.
  11. All your Jeep are belong to us.
  12. I have just proposed a category over in the Waymarking forum called Pre-Existing Virtual caches. This category is a place where the owners of virtual caches can list them and retain all their original logging requirements.
  13. My apologies if this one has already been brought up. This category would give the owners of virtual caches already in existence a place to list them. All virtuals will retain the same logging requirements as they did when listed on GC.com. Consider this a safe haven where they can still exist as the owner's intended.
  14. My only real concern is losing control over my only virtual cache in favor of whomever the category owner is.
  15. Like the cache reviewers and forum moderators, Jeep distributors were all volunteers. We volunteered time, gas and even money in an attempt to get these Jeeps out over as wide of an area as possible. I only had 36 Jeeps to distribute which was small potatoes compared to the hundreds others had to hand out. We cannot control what happens to the Jeeps when they leave our hands and perhaps you could cut them a little slack. They are all to be congratulated and thanked for their efforts in trying to help the game for everybody and not blamed for the actions of a few.
  16. I didn't send out emails until a week after the event was over. I figured that was plenty of time.
  17. Both would work but most people drop the bugs into the cache first them log them in electronically once they get home.
  18. Whats really frustrating is that quite a few of the Jeeps I handed out are still being held by the people I originally gave them too. One part of me wants to send them an email kindly asking them to move it along. Another part wants to keep my nose out of it so as not to stir up trouble.
  19. Just when you think you've got the full icon set, they go and add another.
  20. I will typically clean out TB prisons and relocate all the prisoners to other caches in the area.
