COOL! ware was that?
Someone I think it was TheCheeseheads photoshoped it.

While yes wilderness areas are supposed to be left alone by human influences, I really wish I could cache in some of the more hiked areas. But they are supposed to be left wild and thats why they are there. So I have mixed feelings about it.
-
Wish I could take credit for this one!
-
If I keel over any time soon my headstone will be part of a cache. Either the container itself, or having the coord inscribed on it.
-
How very sexist! Where's the dumping location for husbands!
-
Maybe instead of a TB graveyard we could have a cacher graveyard cache, and have each cacher that passed have their own TB.

I tried holding in the glick stick and turning it on. This seemed to work, as my Legend is now picking up locations. Thanks, and by the way, when you do this, it displays the temperature. I wonder why that isn't a display item within the unit?
Do you know if they made one of those onto the RINO's?

Some bug reppellants are actually poisons and should only be applied to clothing. Its neat to see them land on you and then fall over dead!

Princeton Tec Yukon HL is the king of headlamps.
check out some reviews by experienced backpackers.
It has two modes:
- 3 regular LEDs give good light for close-up work like reading a map or looking at your GPS. This mode gives very long battery life >100 hrs
- A 1 watt high output LED that can be focused on the trail ahead. You get 25 hours in this mode.
It runs on 3 AA batteries. The battery compartment is in the back to balance the weight on your head.
The switchback has LED modes and an incandescant mode. The LED's get 300 off of 2 AA batteries, plus there is an optional external battery source.

Have you tried www.garmin.com?
-
If that cache wasnt 2000 miles away from me I would have been the FTF. If only I could go after it.
-
And at my age its all about being pushed to your limits.
-
I use a Princeton Teck Switchback.
-
I'm not sure but I think so.
-
If its a Garmin 5 feet shouldnt matter.

I intend to buy a hydration pack for longish hikes in the mountains. I tend to drink a lot, so I'm inclined to go for a 100 oz size, rather than for smaller models. I'd be happy to hear about your experience with -
- reservoirs that you can place inside a backpack as opposed to reservoirs that come with their own backpacks
- Camelbak vs. Platypus vs. Dakine vs. ?
good places to buy online
Thanks!
If you use several of the smaller packs, you can better gauge your intake

All the appovers get my vote. Anyone that takes time out of their busy life to help out, deserves a vote.
El Diablo
Yeah I guess thats a better way of what I'm trying to say.

More Geocaching Sniglets
BLUESPRINT - Smurf font
Will TPTB remove blue as a color option in memorium? Then again, the demand for blue is about to go way down, leaving TPTB with a surplus of blue.
That's a relief. I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to type in blue, only to get a <<//server error// inadaquate color resources available.>>
PS:once again my post count is getting dangerously close to my find count. I too will have to lay low around here for a while. Or at least until I can find some more caches.
Even if they removed red from the options list, with HTML enabled on the forums he would still be able to type in blue. Unless they can block specific sections of HTML code but i dont know.

Dang. Stop with the nano already.
What about pico? Or maybe we could also have a vauge option in case you want the size to remain a mystery as some sort of puzzle. Also there could be a multi size option for multicaches.
-
Can we add pico for the smallest caches. You know those little magnetic ones?
-
Is it really approprate to choose a 'favorite'? Im not trolling or anything but I don't want someone to feel 'left out'

Trying desparately to keep it Geocaching related
I can see the virtual cache submissions hitting the fan:

This virtual will take you to the location where some solar radiated atoms hit the ground on September 8, 2004. To log the find, collect some of the atoms and bring them to NASA.
ROFLMAO
I think it would have the "wow" that they are looking for. We would make the trip to check it out.
The wow factor would be how your skin glows after you collect the particles.

I say get a wheeled device and stick to 1/1's
-
Put a cache where its illegal to ATV, then put tire strips out there to pop their tires. Of course there are a lot of places where it wouldnt matter too much like beaches where the waves would wash away the traces, but yeah I agree with your point.
