While you're at Blackwater, Canaan Valley State Park is just down the road and has some caches placed by the Park Rangers. I haven't visited any yet but you can look at this one and do a search for the nearby caches.
As far as North Bend, there have been a boatload of caches popping up near there.
Again, I haven't visited any in that area but you can search for the neaby caches from this one.
Have a good trip.

Excellent article Lep. What's the chance of coming out shortly after your experience at this cache
Sorry, I've been watching that cache and loved your group's logs. I hope to visit it in the near future.

Here's a fairly new one in Canaan Valley that the first stage is on the slope.
Not sure what it'd be like in the winter though.

May 7 by xxxxxxx (16 found)
First find of the day. 5:00pm. Saw the cache, knew exactly where it was. BUT, too many ppl around, so i decided i would go find some more and come back when the double header was over. Found 2 more caches, got some dinner and came back around 8:45 that night. It was still packed. I didnt get to sign the log or even touch the cache. SO i dont know if it is actually a find or not. I saw the container though. Have to go back one evening and sign the book...Nice place
sigh..........

I have a check mark at a spot that a moving cache I found made a stop. Actually, each stop.

With the greatly appreciated actions of Team Turtles, the rescue mission was a smashing success.
Without trying to sound like an Oscar Award winner, I'd like to thank everyone for their suggestions and Team Turtles for the actual retrieval.
Also a huge thank you to Electric Mouse for all of the fabulous help and information provided.
Thanks all.

Here is a nifty link that I've seen a few reviewers post in a few threads.
I've only played with it a little but I find it can be very helpful. Input a set of co-ords and it's easy to check for nearest caches and such. Doing a multi? Use it for each leg.
You can view the cache location before you go through the trouble of placing it and writing the page to see if you're OK.
Like I said I've only toyed with it but I like it. (I like the lots of maps option myself)

psst. Hey wvdan I think you might've meant I-77.
Might be good to post this in the southeast also. Either way have a good trip.
-
Team Turtles, thank you and I've sent the cache description. Good Luck!!
mgoose, I really appreciate the offer, and I will definitely contact you one way or the other. Your offer of aid is welcomed.

I should've suggested that first. I could've saved us both alot of typing.

I have no idea who the reviewer is in your area so try an e-mail to contact@geocaching dot com. Include the waypoint and problem. It'll end up where it needs to be seen.
-
Okay, did you archive it or disable it. If you only disabled it you have the power to re-inable it.
-
At the bottom of the cache page it'll say "approved by". Click on the aprover's name and email them through thier profile page explaining what happened. Be sure to include the waypoint ID (GCxxxx).

Spearfox, thanks for the assist.
TresOkies++, thanks for the suggestion.

Oops. My bad.
Sorry, Electric Mouse.

Electric Mouse also had a very good suggestion, if a local cacher would be interested, this cache looks to be in a nice location and would be a good choice for adoption. If interested in adopting, please contact Electric Mouse or Reviewer Jones.
Just wondering... why wasn't the cache approved in the first place? I mean it seems odd it could be adopted but not approved (right now), was the person who placed it from far away or something??
It was a semi-vacation cache and the cacher didn't respond to the reviewer's request for additional information.
He also hasn't logged on to the site since the cache's submittal.
-
Welch, thank you for the suggestions. I didn't think of those approaches and I'll give it a shot in that direction.
Electric Mouse you've been most helpful and I appreciate the assistance.
I'll leave the co-ords alone because I think you'd need the entire description to try to find this cache. It's a rather long write-up, so I'd prefer not to post it.

Thanks again.

Hello,
I’m posting this here instead of the TB section because I feel that my chances of this being read by someone that can help would be greater.
For starters I’m trying to help my brother get his stalled Travel Bug back in circulation. I know “It’s just a TB, let it go” but it seems that there’s a good chance that it can be retrieved and some geolitter can be removed too. Here’s what I know.
The TB was placed in a cache (Deep Blue) that never got approved. The hider apparently has quit the game and all e-mails sent were returned as undeliverable. I’m just assuming the cache is still in place. It was placed in Johnston County, Oklahoma approximately eight (crow-miles) NE of Tishomingo, east of I-377 on the west side of the Blue River. I’ve garnered that the co-ords are roughly N34° 19.xxx’ W096° 35.xxx’. The nearest caches are GCF35D and GCGDCQ
If anyone desires to help, please contact your local approver for more specific information.
Thanks.

I will add your request to my notes to be included in the next update of the Cache Listing Guidelines.
Yeah, please have it look like it was drawn in crayons.

...I believe that there is also a prohibition against organized events as well....
That would be a bit much. Banning cache events would be on a par with banning family reuinions.
I agree that that would be a little extreme.
However, if you were to meet my family you'd tend to think it might not be a bad thing.

Not being as wordy as Lep, I have to agree that "Polly" is my favorite cache also.
Quest Master also has a very fine traditional and an interesting virt in the same general area. This makes it very well worth spending the time to visit the Fairchance Three. Polly is the crown jewel.
Second on my list is tmp's Buzz One Four
It relates to the 1964 crash of a Strategic Air Command B-52 on Big Savage Mountain near Grantsville, MD.

This post probably fits my feelings closer than any other.
I was put off by the arrogance that happened about the same timeframe after GWII and now I see the same attitude shortly after GWIII. Along with some self appointed "commitee" sheesh.
Oops, sorry, was posting while El Diablo was.
