  1. The following is directly from the FAA web site as of today. Reading this it would appear it is up to the discretion of the carrier/pilot. This does not make sense to me because if a PED effects the electronics in a Boeing 737-300 it should not matter if the 737-300 is flying for American, Delta or United. http://www2.faa.gov/avr/afs/cabinsafety/FAR's/91-21.rtf Through the fish-eye lens of tear stained eyes, I can barely define this moment in time...That is until I bought a GPSR.
  2. MS Streets and Trips US does not allow uploading/downloading to/from a GPSr. I have tried. MS Streets and Trips does have a feature that allows you to show lat/lon information for any given point on the map. This can than be manually entered into EasyGPS to create waypoints and routes you can than upload to a GPSr but this is EXTREMELY manual. 3. I recently purchased a Magellan Sportrak Map which has 4MB uploadable memory. How much information will this hold if I was to purchase Mapsend Streets and Destinations? For example if I route a trip from Buffalo, NY to Washington D.C. and upload the route will 4MB be enought? Or does it depend on the amount of detail I want to upload? 4. Thanks for the info. Is the route planner just as detailed with Topo, along with the map detail for the streets?
  5. Another newbie to geo-chaching and gpsr's. Wondering what everyones experience is with Magellan's Mapsend Street and Dest. software, good or bad. Also is there any 3rd party software provider that makes after markert software for the Magellan...Seems like Magellan has a lock and can charge what the want.
