  1. If its fixed then where are all the FPs I freed up from archived caches last week? Can they not run a refresh to recalculate our available FPs?
  2. I've removed several FPs from old archived caches but they have not yet been given back to me. Should they reappear instantly or is there some sort of delay?
  3. 14th Oct - clicked the link to my PQ and it had gone today 17th Oct - had the email but by the time I got to my PQ page it had already gone What's going on? I don't want a refund but the least we deserve is a reply.
  4. Yep - the copied one ran again fine and the original is still sitting there taunting me so it's going. Worth knowing - though why it just stopped will always be a mystery, and happy for it to stay that way :-)
  5. Right well the copied one ran fine so guess the workround is to do that and delete the original. Let's see if it runs on schedule tomorrow then. Not ideal but saves waiting for someone to fix it.
  6. I have a daily PQ that hasn't run since (according to the PQ list) 16/01/11 @ 00:00. So it's not that it's running and disappearing into spam somehwere. I've tried unticking and ticking again. I've tried editing and resubmitting it again. Guess my next step is to copy it to a new one.
  7. thanks BlueDeuce curiously I tried on another PC (but still Firefox) and it worked fine....if I work out why I'll post back
  8. Is it just me but for the last two days I have been trying to get my personal TB to 'Visit' a cache - either by logging with the find or by adding a note....and it's not recording it at all.
  9. (apologies if this is already here somewhere as I'm sure it must be but I couldn't get the search to work) Has anyone tracked down a working Serial/USB cable for the Etrex H? Preferably available in the UK. The ones I've googled so far seem to warn against. Cheers in advance!
  10. It's very disappointing that gc.com customers seem to get no feedback on issues such as this. Even a 'we are investigating' let's us know that someone's doing something; followed by a periodic update.
  11. likewise I have had no notifications of visits to my caches - last notification I had was at 18:00 GMT yesterday
  12. Just to close this off and express my thanks....I have been PMd by a fellow cacher who has gone and set our little fellow free. What a great bunch of people we have on here.
  13. Though they weren't switched on, both my Etrex and my TomTom have been in my carry-on thru Manchester, UK and Orlando International without a hitch. (Though I do wish I'd had the GPSr track our speed etc on the 747!!! - next time it will !!)
  14. I'm wondering if there's a kind soul out there who might be going down the I85 anytime soon who can kick our Travel Slug on his way again - he seems to have made himself comfortable in a TB Hotel and isn't moving. The cache is GC10J8W and our Travel Slug is Scoubi Chopper. He made such a good start on his mission as well. We'd really appreciate it if someone could help.
  15. My (unqualified) spin on this is that you can't change the units to metric. All we're doing here is displaying a pre-formatted image from the gc.com servers - which thus must be automatically generated and updated when your trackables details change. So my (again unqualified) guess is that the only way you can get metric is if TPTB also generate an image with a metric distance on it for us to use. As for changing the size, it seems the size is the optimum for the info that's displayed in it, but you could monkey around with the size by adding height and width attributes to the img tag: eg the original size is 150x110 so try attributes of height="135" width="99" (or even use a % value instead of a number of pixels) (Mind you at the time of going to press here, the profile pages seem to have a glitch when displaying links)
  16. 20 plus your own for directly downloaded gpx files 5 plus your own for PQ's Look around on the GSAK forums, there is a work around for this. actually look in the macro library index. It is near the top. Jim I see it - that looks just the ticket - TVM!! For future ref - it's here GSAK Macro - Add Logs
  17. There seems to be a limit to the number of logs you get on both a Pocket Query and on a GPX file direct from a cache page. I can perhaps see a reason for this but does anyone know what the limit is? It's seems arbitrary - 23 on the last one I did. Is there a way to increase this? I need to get a GPX containing ALL the logs for my own placed caches. (Because the latest FindStatGen macro in GSAK shows the stats on your own placed caches which of course will be inaccurate unless I can load EVERY log entry). Many Thanks in Advance Pete (PazaUK)
  18. I know I've seen one around here somewhere but I'm blowed if I can find it now I actually need one.... Can anyone point me in the direction of a blank log book I can use for a micro - a 35mm film pot kind?? Many thanks in advance Pete
  19. I'm sure I must be missing something obvious here but for the life of me I can't find the answer.... I use GSAK and periodically update my database with my 500 nearest unfound caches. I noticed that a cache that I knew had been Archived wasn't getting updated. Further investigations showed that this was because my PQ results did not contain Archived caches. Those that have been changed to Unavailable are included but if I missed that change of Status before it went to Archived then my database won't get updated - so there's a chance that I will have an archived cache showing as a live one in my db. Is there a way to include Archived caches in a PQ?
  20. until a PQ comes available, I use a bit of html on my profile that shows the current status of my trackables. Take a looksee..... (Picked this up from fellow cacher and thought it was neat)
  21. I posted yesterday that I had this problem. On checking this morning, it seems my My Finds query did run some hours later and the button is now greyed out as you would expect. The report produced is also accurate. So, for me anyway, its working although not functioning as it should. Is this a symptom of the recent updates perhaps?
  22. I'm getting the same symptoms here from both IE6 and Firefox 3.01. I seem to remember a similar occurrence a while back but it worked OK after a couple more clicks - not this time though; it just cycles and displays the same page back that my last My Finds PQ was on 8/11/2008 12:22:42 AM. Some response from Groundspeak would be good at this point.
  23. Frosty - and all the above - thanks for the info - have managed to sort out my new Etrex H with your info above. Had the problems described on both garmin.com and geocaching.com. My PC has a built-in card reader so it picks up drives H,I, J and K. Garmin.com found only my 'first' garmin device on drive H and so I couldnt download. Geocaching.com although did list my COM port at the bottom of a list including the 4 drive options, it still would not download and gave an error about it not being connected. So, via Control Panel / System / Hardware / Device Manager.... I disabled each of the 4 'Storage Volumes' and BINGO, I can now download geocaches from BOTH websites. Thanks again from a geocaching newbie.
