  1. I don't see how those charges can be sustained: Debris - noun 1. The scattered remains of something broken or destroyed; rubble or wreckage. 2. Carelessly discarded refuse; litter. Definitely not #1; and caches are usually meticulously placed not carelessly discarded.
  2. Hey TRL, I am on the list on page one; but my payment through PayPal was denied. Send me an email, let me know what is up.
  3. For me caching is usually the objective to hiking. I wouldn't know about many of the places I go to without the caches, thus, probably wouldn't go there on my own. But if we are including all outdoor activities that bring us to cool places, it would probably break down like this 50% - objective is to fish 50% - objective is to cache
  4. I wonder what Zip Code you would have to plug in to search for that TB Hotel? Would another option be added to the country drop down list? "Space"?
  5. Well, if your painter was drinking, then mine was on some serious mind altering drugs... What was the number of LE Acid Tie-Dyed ones made?
  6. It's funny that you bring this up. I just finished going through all of the geocoin auctions and saw 4 or 5 different auctions up. BEWARE! I made things difficult by not recording the tracking numbers of the silvers that went out. Hindsight being 20/20, I wish I would have. There is one seller that has two auctions listed, and both of them say they are for a Silver screw. Nobody got two, and in the picture on the auction, you can see the difference in the two screws...somebody is going to get...well, you get the picture. I had half a mind to list a gold screw just to mess up their auctions! Wow, I can't believe peopledo this...
  7. Me personally, I prefer very generic/ambigous coins. But I am a newbie so I'm sure that will change. But you should make what YOU like and make it look good. Depensing on how many you make, from what I have seen, pretty much everything sells out pretty quickly.
  8. I have an extra Unactivated Standard Nickel GeoScrew Coin. It will give you a cool little icon in your stats! Looking for: Compass Rose GCCC coins (preferably Ammo box) Seven Summits German Coins
  9. Couple quick questions: 1) I paid for two "standard" coins. These ones look identical to the middle ones in that pictures. Should I just assume they are the darker ones to the right (nickel?)? 2) I am still new to coins, in fact these are the first personals I have even opened, is it cool to trade the other one I got and keep one?
  10. WooHoo Got my two today! They look great and packed very well.
  11. I think it is a cool idea! The easier way to do it would be in the GOAL section for the cop write "This bug's goal is to catch this Guy (Link here)" and then in the robber GOAL write "This bug's goal is to never be caught by this guy "Link here" The harder part will be doing your "prison" idea. It could take a long time to get the bugs back to your starting point. It might be better to attach a tag saying something like: If this bug is ever spotted in the cache with this TB (insert name and picture) please contact (your cacher name) I will pay postage to have them sent to me.
  12. Best way to do this is with "Pocket Queries". You would have to purchase a premium membership in order to do this. You could try it for a month! It is awesome I have a TB Query for two areas. I set it up for the 500 closest caches that have trevellers. It enabled me to get my first Jeeps and Coins. It is also a daily check for me to see if any other interesting things are in the area (like specialized coins) There are a ton of different ways to set Queries up. They alone are worth the PM, IMO!
  13. In FireFox they have not been working for me on the initial link to them; but when I click Zoom IN or Soom OUT it will start working.... Strange...
  14. From my general experience, when there is a Team (or family) there is usually one person who goes to every single cache and the other members come sometimes, but enough to say that the one person is not a solo cacher. Those other members would generally not log on their own; have no interest in having an account; but enjoy making the trip and do sign the logs in the tangible log book. So the reasons I would guess: - The account holder doesn't consider him/herself a solo cacher - Wants to notify the cache owner of their team status to account for names in the books - Wants to advertise they have friends/partners - It is a more accurate description of what happens when they cache; rather then every single time they log saying: "Came in with: A,B, and C..." For me caching is with my girlfriend and I always ask if she wants to come; if she doesn't it doesn't stop me though.
  15. CNN article Cachers with way more advanced equipment than just a GPSr found a really cool cache!!! A time capsule of King Kameamea. Ok, it's not geocaching; but a interesting story about finding boxes!
  16. "37?!?!?!" Clerks fan? What does the number matter? Although my thoughts might change if I ever get bigger into collecting coins.
  17. I really enjoy interesting history associated with caches. Finding out things I did not know before and being brought to the location. So far these three would top my list for interesting history: - Pelham Murder?? Headstone (GCCA86) - Witches Cave (GC99D7) - First North American Geocache (GCHC22)
  18. If you picked it up: Go to "Track Travel Bugs" in the left on the homepage. Enter the Tracking number on the top right to find the bug. Then Click "Found it Log it". Re-enter the tracking numer, make sure you are logging it from the correct cache or grabbing from the correct player. Enter a note making sure not to include the tracking number, upload some pictures. The bug is then in your inventory until you drop it. When you drop it into another cache, make sure when you log that cache to go to the bottom of your log and click on the bug(s) you dropped in.
  19. OVER!!!!!! Congrats to all and thank you so much to 3 Sheets and Cache U Nuts!!!! The last coin came down to a 50 second difference! Wow!
