I guess diamonds are out of the question. Being a photographer, I usually put a new roll of film in. They seem to go real quick. I like the idea of leaving coins. I've been to only 2 water-logged caches, and it looked like it was because of bad judgement in containers. If you picked good solid containers to put them in, rust won't be a problem. I saw someone left a 1943 silver nickel in one. When I got there that same day it was left, the cacher an hour before me grabbed it. I'm all for it.
