  1. Yeah, it was several years ago. I just pulled up one of MY caches & you're correct. The Found It log type isn't there. As posted, apparently you could prior to 2017. Thanks for the replies.
  2. So, if I log a "found" on one of my caches today, it would NOT post or show up on my profile?
  3. I have often wondered if logging a "found it" on a cache that you hid is considered cheating/ethical? I have noticed most Co's don't do this. On the other hand, I seen one co doing maintenance on their caches, but logging each one as a "found it" (looked like falsification of their real find numbers on their profile)
  4. This is the same thing I get here in Louisiana. The maps do look fairly good & I could get use to them, but zooming in & out and switching from road maps to aerial causes the maps to lock up & just not load completely. I sure hope there is another source that's better than this one. Keep trying GS....
  5. that's a bit of an oversimplification, as updating the coordinates is not the same as "republishing" - it's just updating the coordinates. even if you do it yourself (when it's less than the 161 meters), the reviewers still get notice and will still check it for proximity issues. not right away, but they do. How long is "not right away" ??? I have tried contacting my reviewer concerning this issue about 3 times in the past 5 WEEKS with no response. I even did it their way. Included a link to the cache, it's name, it's gc code, the old coords, the new coords & the reason for moving it. My last email simply asked if they are receiving my messages, but since I get no response, I can only assume they aren't. Next step is to contact Groundspeak for assistance???
  6. Select log a visit and for the log type select update coordinates. There seems to be a limit on just how far you can update it yourself. What is the magic number? Apparently if it's too far, then a reviewer has to do it for you, but how do you get this done? Send an email to them through their profile page or disable the cache? I have one I'm trying to update and not having much luck.......
  7. I recently had to move a container, and trying to get the coords updated hasn't been easy. Trying to do this as a log indicates it is too far away. What is the limit that a CO can update before a reviewer has to do it for you and how do you get the reviewer to update? Do you send them an email or does disabling the cache place it into their queue? I finally logged the new coords into a regular log, but this doesn't change the coords on the cache description page. Just wondering what the proper procedure is on this one. Can not find any help in the guidelines.
  8. Run webupdater, and yes it will fix your problem. Yes, I managed to figure out how to do this upgrade with the webupdater and now have 3.9 downloaded into the unit. So far it seems to have corrected the problem. It even seems to boot up quicker than it did with the 3.7 software. Thanks
  9. I to have been having problems with my legend locking up. I use only duracell coppertop alkalines. I have had older & newer batteries in place & the screen go blank. My version is 3.70. How do you go about upgrading to 3.90 & does this correct the problem of the screen locking up?
