  1. If the TB is either: Yours In your cache You can mark it missing. Go to the TB page and under the "Travel Bug Owner Options" choose "Mark bug missing". If the TB/coin resurfaces, it can still be put back into circulation.
  2. There's already a thread for bugs in the Getting Started with Waymarking section. This section is for discussing categories.
  3. I think the option is no longer available, but I wonder if older categories still have it set if they had it that way beforehand? Wikipedia entries is auto, IIRC>
  4. I don't really care either way, but it's nice to have someone else check the entry for you in case you miss something. In my categories I would usually just let someone else check mine. Most have gone through, one I had to correct something in my entry.
  5. See this post (either via my link or click the little red in the quote) to see the rest of the changes.
  6. I like being able to hit multiples with one spot... I've got a couple two-fers, and one location that's a 3-fer.
  7. Just found out there was a business card found at the scene. Nothing on the card other than a name: "Marco Clemente". Attempts to reach Mr Clemente have failed, we fear it's a pseudonym, and not his real name.

    Virual Caches

That's what the "WOW" factor was, which didn't work because everyone has a different theory on what "WOW" means. Sounds like many Waymarking categories. You can filter out categories you consider "lame" on Waymarking, so you never see the things you're not interested in. That eliminates having to visit the site to find out first. A virt is just a POI when there's no cache there.

You mean like updating coords if they should be off by .14 or so? <_<
  10. What if you're interested in fiberglass horses?
  11. Yup. Click on "My categories", and you'll see the large exclamation next to categories with new waymarks to review:

    Virual Caches

You might be interested to read the latest updates to Waymarking site which was updated on Tuesday (while your post was Wednesday). LOC downloads was a pretty big addition, with GPX in the works for future releases (harder to do it with Waymarking since the structure varies from category to category... or something like that!)
  13. Did you try the "Back" button on your browser? I've had it happen where I've done something goofy and wanted to recover, so hitting "Back" til I got to where I needed I could copy the appropriate data.
  14. http://www.novago.org Site's been up a couple of weeks now, replacing the old Yahoo! group.
  15. Please do correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the cache owners made the decision. "This site" did not decide to archive the cache listing. Stupid details.
  16. (links to images deleted to save the children).
  17. Great. Love it. The checkbox is there but it doesn't seem to actually cause the default image to change. This is an issue for me because many of my visit images are now the default images, and I'm an ugly cuss. Did you set a new one as default or just uncheck the one that was default?
  18. Check the bug threads in the "Getting Started with Waymarking" section (this section is for discussing categories). This post might be of some use, they're looking into the issue you addressed.

    Virual Caches

So a stand alone virtual is bad, but make that same virtual part of a multi and it becomes good? John Right. Because there's an actual cache there, not a plaque, scenic view, etc. There's a ton of those (some very cool ones, too!) at Waymarking.com
  20. silverquill, Had the same issue. Just click your "My categories" link on the right side, then scroll to the category needing a review, there's a "!" icon next to it (wish I had saved that page so I could link to the image, but you'll see it). Click that "!" icon and it takes you to the valid review page. edit: found it in another thread, maybe they should be merged?
