  1. Lets sit down have a beer and relax. What ya think? I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  2. LOL I agree with most of what you say Moose. I have been in a few fights myself and have found that if you are the first one to strike you usually win. I once went up against a 3rd degree black belt and guess what? he kicked my ***!! The second time however I broke his nose his jaw and his wrist. He really broke his wrist on top of my head but it was still broken. So I think the best solution is we not fight at all. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  3. Oh and the first solid kick to the balls usually works as well. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  4. Moose, I don't doubt you may win in a fight between most people. The thing is if you get hit first, in the nose and it breaks your eyes tear up and you vison is limited. In your training do you pratice breaking each others noses? Now that would be a class!! I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  5. I don't think I "defamed bilgewater" as you put it. Hell I have no idea what you're talking about lol. I was a grunt not a seamen. Honestly I am not out to insult anyone just stating my opinion, thats the great thing about this Country we can do that here and not get arrested. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  6. All the training is nice, but once you get hit it usually goes out the window. Anyone can beat anyone so don't get too cocky. If you get a fist straight in the nose before you can perform any of your kempo moves you're on your back just like the rest of us. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  7. I'm not really into the puzzle caches, but I'm starting to like the physical ones. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  8. The fact that you posted right after my last post. If you wern't referning to me I'm sorry, I get a bit touchy when I think I am accused of something that is dead wrong and tend to lash out. It has happened with friends as well, I need to learn a little more control I guess. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  9. Brain what the Hell made you state that towards me?? I hate no one, and as someone who doesn't believe in ANY organized religon you are way off. I was stating that my Father has spent his entire life trying to make this country a safer place and it is the so called elected officials that cut the budget for counter intelligence that lead to this horror. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  10. While I agree with Sam on alot of things as a son of a man that spent his whole life trying to make this country a better place I think he may be speaking about things he knows nothing about. quote:Originally posted by SamLowrey: quote:Originally posted by Squealy:Our government is by no means perfect - but if you don't like it go to some other fecking country where you aren't allowed to give your opinion or better yet, lock yourself up in your compound so the FBI can come and burn it down. Exactly! Don't agree with the government and they will kill you. Where is that in the Constitution? quote:If it wasn't for Israel who would be keeping a lid on things over there? You mean Israel constantly stirring up trouble over there? You mean like Israel making unprovoked attacks and calling it "defense"? I'm sure none of the arabs hold a grudge against the US or make the connection when they see their families killed by the brave Israelis launching missiles from US made F-16s at their homes. quote: "The Homeland of the Jews" keeps the area in check. OK, then let's make a Homeland for Whites. So long as they exterminate Arabs, I guess they will be deserving of your support. quote: You made some pretty fecked up comments there - I'm offended and I am not even Jewish. What is more screwed up? Your assumption that every Jew is a supporter of Israel, perhaps? That isn't the case (so much for your moral high ground) quote: Perhaps when your done washing your hood tonight we can go back out and have us a good 'ol cross burning. Jesus Christ - you made some crazy accusations. Thank you for exposing yourself. This is exactly what I was talking about. Opposing the theft of money earned by Americans and thrown down the toilet of Israel makes you subject to character assasination. I do hope everyone takes note and questions why it is deemed _necessary_ to quash ANY questioning of our support for Israel this way. I mean, it seems like there is something there TPTB _really_ don't want the public to look at. What does that suggest? quote:The fact of the matter is thousands of people died two years ago today for no other reason than they were going about their daily routines. They (WE) were attacked for their way of life. It is the same as the Jews who live in Israel. They face the same thing on a daily basis. We are fortunate because we do not. We are generally proactive when dealing with other nations and that is what has helped maintain our independece and stability. Make no mistake - there are people out there who want to destroy our way of life. We must be ever vigilant and not allow that to happen. The reason for our relative safety is the ocean - nothing more. It serves as a de facto border. But as that becomes less of a factor, we can expect more of this...unless we start paying attention to who enters this country (can you believe that relatively nothing has changed regarding illegal immigration after this attack? What more of a wake up call do you need?) BTW, wasn't the Soviet Union "proactive" in the way you describe? The US was never meant to be an Empire. Do you not recall Washington's warning about foreign entanglements? quote:Our government does A LOT of things to ensure that our freedoms are not taken away from us. While the Federal government contols this country, they are the ONLY threat to freedom. Do you not know history at all? If you mean they do a lot to prevent attacks, well that is debatable. I'm still scratching my head as to how the Pentagon could have been attacked when they had fair warning. THE PENTAGON! Maybe these defenses are more smoke and mirrors than you think. quote:And I am SURE they do a lot of fecked up things that we will never know about, because we probably shouldn't know about them and are probably better off not knowing about them. They do a lot of things to keep oil flowing, I'm sure. And I'm not opposed to that per se. Oil is vital and if we fought a war over oil, that would be justified BUT don't come to me and say the war is about the freedom of the Iraqi people because I don't like being lied to. quote:In God we trust, right? So our government is the opposite of the Israelis? Our forefathers KNEW that religion was one of, if not the only way to maintain some control of the general population - religion is as much a part of our government as Congress and the Supreme Court. We just don't advocate the government supporting one specific one. And Israel DOES, thus my point. Other nations that do: Iran and various other nations that the public are trained to react in knee jerk fashion as labeling them religious fanatics. The only reason Israel is not treated that way is because it isn't allowed to state anything negatively about Jews. quote:Pssst...there are non-jews (goyums (spelling?)) in Israel. There were blacks in the South that couldn't vote, either. So what? Presence doesn't mean that much. What people should be more concerned with is why land that is holy to three major religions is controlled by ONE. quote:Our government is not perfect but it is by the people and for the people. Here and only here can you wear that hood despite what it stands for. We don't have to like or agree with you but we do have to tolerate you. Ahhh, again with the KKK reference. Get that trick from your GOOD PAL Jonathan Pollard? Funny how those who are "sypathetic" towards Israel always seem to be loyal to Israel over the US.... quote:Sorry for ranting - and Sam, if I drew a conclusion about your character unjustly from what I read I apologize. Ah, the disclaimer.... I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  11. I agree with all the people that say we should never forget, I spent 4 years in the Amry as a grunt and was more then willing to protect our country. I guess you could say I was lucky I never had to go to war,but when Sept 11th happened I was a bit sad I wouldn't be able to go and get revenge for our civilians who died by the cowards hands. I know the men and women I served with are doing all they can to fight these pukes and to make Americia a safer place. They are placing their lives on the line every day, lets remember them as well. 12. While I have not placed a cache yet I find it hard to believe that someone would have a problem with people coming into their park, searching for a cache and performing cito as long as the person understood what cito was and what it meant. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  13. I'm still new so I haven't kept anything I've taken except a nerf ball that wouldn't fit in any other cache I've been to. I think I'll give it to my brothers dog. I have rarely found anything I'd want to take from a cache so if I did take something I'd either give it away or place it in another cache. From another forum I learned the errors of my ways about complaining that it was stuff I did not want and have since been more then happy to tn/leave something good that someone may enjoy. Its only been a few caches but I plan on making another run to the store and geocaches website to enhance the loot you and your kids can find. And yes if its a 3 or below it will be child friendly. A 4 and up a leatherman may be included. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  14. I don't think cachers and cavers will ever agree. While looking at all the posts I'd tend to agree with both sides. The cavers say that it is very easy to die in a cave, agreed that is true if you go into a difficult cave. Alot of caves are not deep and are nothing more then 20 feet into a mountain. I may be wrong in calling this a cave but it looks like one to me. If you enter a cave that requires special gear, ie rope for repelling, wet or dry suits for swimming I think the adverage geocacher would know better then to continue, just my opinion here. All this talk about people either living or dying in caves seems pretty damm stupid. I would venture a guess that more cavers died in caves then non cavers, post stats if you have them. Just like more mountain climbers die on the mountain side then hikers do. I think if we all just got together and introduced each other to our favorite pasetimes we'd all benifit and there would be alot less *******g/ I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  15. This has gotten to way off topic, time to let this thread die. Religon and our beliefs do not need to be debated here. We are all here for a single purpose, to cache and it doesn't matter what race/color/religon you are we all have caching in common. Lets give it a rest and cache on. Let the thread die here. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  16. I once had two men walk done the path after I had already retrieved and opened the cache. I had moved a little ways away so was not in the exact cache location. One of them appeared very interested in what I was doing so I made a show of picking up rocks and such and pretending to log them into the log book I was signing at the time. I made sure they could not see into the cache as they walked by and avoided eye contact as that often is taken as a sign you'd like to talk. As soon as they were out of sight I replaced the cache and covered it with alot of camo. It still hasen't been robbed but the location of the cache is such that I think it will one day be discovered. 17. And if that dosen't work? quote:Originally posted by BrianSnat: quote: Anyone got a third option? Yeah, ignore him. _"You can't make a man by standing a sheep on his hind legs. 18. I'll post when mine gets here, I have always used mag lights in the past so I am interested in seeing if this one is better. Thats the reason I bought it, and no I haven't ordered any spare batteries yet. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  19. Thanks alot your post made me pull up the pic's. OMG I have met some scary people in the woods before, but I was not prepared for this. I think I'll need to turn my TV to the higher channels tonight. quote:Originally posted by The Rocket Pack:All I have to say is, why oh why did I look at the pics!! 20. quote:Originally posted by Renegade Knight:You know Xitron I agree that ignoring the issue isn't the only answer here. Lets explore. When faced with people that make fun of, torture for kicks, or other wise make your life miserable in some fashion there are two options. 1) Ignore Them so they ultimatly go away (and bug someone else) 2) Take the fun out of it for them. While #1 does that to a limited extent I find if you kick the living **** out of them when they push you over the edge it sucks the fun right out of the situation. Of course kicking the crap out of them isn't the only way to do it, but it does takes some kind of contact. However in this situation you really don't have #2 to work with. That leaves #1, Ignore them. Working with the concept to make it ok or tolerable just doesn't work. It should be a right pain in the butt to be a Lil' Cap'n Foo Foo pirate. I too had to deal with bullies in my life and I agree that once you beat the crap out of them they tend to leave you alone. Thats not an option here and I don't believe ignoring him will make it go away either. Anyone got a third option? I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  21. Pantalaimon stated, Holy cow, you're right. AND! What if he takes all the cache contents and builds a bomb the likes of which Angus MacGuyer couldn't even conceive of, THEN he places that bomb in a nearby sensitive area and blows the bejesus out of chipmunks and squirrels!! The possibilities are endless! Pan While I'm not worried about a bomb, what about the cache that was placed in a nesting area for some rare bird. While I don't follow all the events and watch PBS all day long I can see why having people in certain areas during certain times may cause a problem. Even if we do not precieve it as an issue the Park Ranger might and he is the one who can ban caches in the park. My main point is this If the person who wants to be a geopirate has no thought of his actions it could have a negitiave effect on us all. If however he is responsible and pays attention to the who/what/where rule then I think it may,(and I stress may), add to the game. Your thoughs are welcome without all the drama. 22. I'm headed to Vermont next month for a long weekend and plan to do some caching out there. With the lil one with us I do not plan on doing any 4 or 5's, but a 3 is not out of the question. If there happens to be a 1 close you bet we'll do it. I will do some caches alone, but I do find it much more enjoyable to be with others, and if that means I have to do lower level caches that is fine by me. 23. cool just ordered one. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  24. mrkablooey, censorship is not the answer, just a bigger problem. I see your lips moving but all I hear is blah blah blah
  25. BrianSnat, you've been a member of this forum for alot longer then I have, but I tend to disagree that if you ignore an issuse it will go away. In my experience if you ignore something it tends to grow and fester. In this case he/she/it may move on to more destructive methods to get attention if that is what he/she/it is after. If we bring this person in and teach him our values maybe we can show and guide him into a way to still do what he consideres fun without pi**ing off everyone else.
