Saved finding a nearby (1/2 mile) cache to fill in the 29th that I could get to even in a blizzard. Though this could still be considered snow country, the white stuff hasn't been seen (expect for dirty piles) here for a while. just had to contend with rain to make the find.

The 'new' maps are still way to slow, plus I have yet to be able to see any aerial views

Find it interesting that on the paper calendars in our house:
two have it labeled "Presidents' Day", one says "Washingtons' Birthday"
amd the fourth has both labels.

Or try a variation of the name ie: JohnDoe taken, use JohnDooe or John 2 Doe

There is a multi-cache in this area placed by someone who has been in the game for quite some time. The cache page provides the waypoints for each of the four stages. At each stage is a digit required for the coordinates of the final cache. The stages also contain logsheets that you may sign to claim bonus smilies on the cache. So one for the final and 4 for the stages.
Should be 4 Traditionals and 1 bonus cache (Mystery).
Probably, but you aren't required to log the 1st 4 stages, just allowed by CO to do so.

I see the cache has now been archived by its owner.

To reiterate until one checks the box that it is ready for review
you will see ALL the messages below. This example is from a listing I submitted today. Cache is not ready for publication, so I left the box unchecked.
Cache Issues:
This cache has not been reviewed yet. Once it is published, it will be listed on the site. Check the logs to see if the reviewers have left a note for this listing.
The reviewers will not see this listing until you enable it.
This cache is temporarily unavailable. Read the logs below to read the status for this cache.

IMHO the find is not valid until you complete the challenge
ie: all 366 days of the year, days in a month, etc.
In your case of having already 'found' the cache if would be acceptable to log the find on the day you completed the challenge.
An alternative would be post a note on the cache the date when you found it, then later edit (if possible) to show an actual find upon completion.
Otherwise you could the note as placemark for the found date.

I was refering to when the WC attribute would be correct.
Though I might feel it might be correct, I don't want to set it if it's not appropriate.

Just ran two Pocket Queries giving many results for caches placed on Feb 29th . The nearest for 2/29/08 is 80 crows or 100 driving miles away and the nearest for 2/29/04 is 100 crows or 120 driving miles away.
In the PQs I simple stated I wanted caches placed between 2/29/04 and 2/29/04 for the one query and between 2/29/08 and 2/29/08 for the other query.

Still isn't quite clear as to when we could put a handicap accessable attribute on our cache pages. IE: our cache GC2RM4Q computes to a Handicache rating of H11111. Should we use the attribute on that one?
To further refine the question what range on the ratings should be used to determine when to set the attribute?

My 3 1/2 cents worth opinion on this topic.
Logbooks and containers get replaced on many caches on a regular basis,
but to downgrade MINGO to a micro/film canister seems absurd.
If isn't replaced with a similar container to the original
then it should be archived as the hide has changed.

Sometimes its nice to have them especially if there is prefered route to the cache location, avoiding the possibilty of crossing private property.
What I hate is to see it as part of the description NOT an additional waypoint. I may not read the desc until AFTER finding a parking spot, by then it may not be worth the trouble to have to enter parking coords by hand and reposition the geomobile to the intended parking location. Sometimes not having found a suitable parking spot (not knowing the CO had one marked) we give up on even seeking out the cache.

The other half would like a large screen with a VERY easy (in any light) to read 'compass' type pointer/dial. I would like it to support PQs & field notes for paperless caching.
Suggestions ??

Yes, I see that is unchecked by default (listing enabled),
though the note still says otherwise that you must uncheck it yourself.
Overall that sounds like a good thing so one doesn't submit a cache
that isn't really ready to be found. Problem I see is that part
of the submission page is easy to overlook.
Side note: I still have real film cans laying around.

You mean an acronym.
To quote the venerable Homer J. Simpson, "Doh!".
Yes, acronym, not anagram.
Isn't it also a palindrome?

IMHO it wouldn't fly past a reviewer because it would deemed as a 'commercial cache'. Coupons inside the cache ?might work.
That sounds about right to me. Personally, I'd rather not see the coupons, either.
We tend to ignore coupons as cache litter, but it could give the OP/CO an out.

Our personal best was 67 in a day over about a 5-6 hr period and not on any kind of power trail

In general I am for the rule as it stands. However, I do believe there are times when the rule needs to be tossed for common sense. Example: I do not see anything wrong with having two caches within .1 of each other if they are on opposite sides of rivers or lakes or some uncrossable object, for example. A little research by the reviewer or additional questions to the CO will clear such issues. I also think if you can make a rational argument for a cache within .1 it should also be allowed. For example: preexisting cache #1 brings attention to a specific geo feature. Cache#2 400 ft away, within it's description bring a total different feature to point. There needs to be some basic common sense which I am willing to trust the reviewers in making. Really how much different is that then those who chose to make power trails with 50-100 caches right at .1 of each other.
A reviewer once rejected one I submitted as it was about 500 ft NOT the minimum of 528 ft; however there were 2 fences and a very steep hill separating the two. The practical routes between the locations was more like .25 mi. and the two would have been mistaken for each other.
The reviewer said 528 period no exception.

logs are loading fast now, so "page down" can be used effectively
i like the avatars next to the log, now if only there will be a prettier image, maybe Signal, for those that don't have one, in place of that grey expressionless face lol
I agree... well done on fixing the speed that the logs load! It will still be a pain on some caches, but this is MUCH more useable!
So it seems to be faster, but is there a shortcut to get to the very bottom (1st log) of a cache page?
No, I don't think there is. That's why I said that it will still be a pain on some [very popular] caches.
Just click on the 'View Logbook' link, then click the highest numbered page. That seems pretty quick to me
MrsB
Does that load all logs, or only the last page of logs (I suppose I can check for myself, huh?)
I see that it allows you to go any page (group of 10 entries) in the logbook.
So it is a simple way to get to the 1st group of logs.
You may select any page (of 10) that you wish to see.
Although I would like to be able to jump to the bottom, then scroll up through the entries. Now you must select the page one by one.

In our area the public right-of-way extends to the side of the sidewalk nearest the house. Though the grassy area and sidewalk are public property (though many homeowners feel otherwise), the city requires the homeowner to maintain them.
