  7. I have a nuvi 260, have done 150 caches on it, I always loaded my caches from the cache page. And yes you can put in coordinates manually on the touch screen. Go to where to/coordinates. 12. I am considering buying a Garmin etrex Vista HCx, or a Venture HC, The Vista has a barometric altimeter, electronic compass, are those important for Geocaching, cause that's all I will be doing. Is this overkill, or would the Venture HC find caches just as well. Thanks for any help
  13. I found a geocoin today, I went to www.geocaching.com/track/ and entered the track code on the coin, I logged it, Now I need to put it in another cache somewhere, how do i log that?

  15. Can you use a clear plastic water bottle for a multi cache container just to show coordinates to the next?
  16. Sometimes you "can't get there from here" -- rivers, dead end roads, etc. So you will need to use some sort of maps now and then or spend rather a lot of time backtracking! This is true. Topo maps are useful in the back country. Particularly in mountainous or hilly country where you have to hike aways to get to the cache. OTOH, in flat, urban environments, Topo maps add nothing. However, I may use street maps to get close in my car, but once on foot, .......... I have a nuvi 260 to get to the CZ
  17. You can cache without maps but it is easier with them. Why is it easier with maps??

  19. Do I need mapping or Topo software to geocache? Can I geocache right out of the box with a Etrex Venture HC
