  1. From a finder's stand point, I get more excited about finding a well hidden ammo can than any other container, and especially when they are marked with a geocaching sticker. Otherwise they may be interpreted a little ominously. The lock-n-lock is in second place for me. Any other plastic container, should probably be put inside a rugged plastic bag, from my experience. Plastic film vials seem to be able to remain water-tight for quite a while, if they are not exposed to the sun. But, honestly, these smaller containers don't juice me up like a bigger one. Just my opinion, VT
  2. Not really a high concentration here, but the cache "The Silent City" GCQYTG, is a couple of blocks from the Armory/Stadium metro stop. It's a multi-cache, took me less than two hours. Had a really outstanding and educational experience. Bring some Navy related swag, or gold&blue, if you have it. I'd stopped here, after doing some caches at Arlington Cemetery, which does have several virtuals, which is also very close to a metro stop. Good luck, VT
  3. Son chipping in here.... One thing I do to assure me is to go to the satellite page of the VistaHCx, and check the accuracy level. Sometimes it's 12ft, and other times it's 30ft. So the unit can tell us how accurate it is able to be, changing especially when we're under the heavy cover of August. I've remarked a few times in my logs, how much easier it seemed when the leaves were off the trees, in January and February. I also believe the hider's accuracy might vary maybe even more than our WAAS enabled recievers, so a 50ft radius may be about as good as we can expect in the summer.
