Have this situation: I am in field for 7 days (without possibility to work with computer) a therefore I am affraid of error message "not enough memory". So I solve in advance the problem which type of dates inside eTrex I have to delete: waypoints, or tracks etc. But there are two possibilities: 1) Maybe the message "not enough memory" WILL NOT DISPLAY at all till end of my long trip (because I have plenty of free memory just now) and then was my decision to delete some waypoints or tracks very bad and i will then be limited to use my eTrex in field because I will not use these waypoints or tracks etc. 2) But maybe the message "not enough memory" WILL DISPLAY, but I will not to notice of this error and my eTrex will not to write my current track into memory, which may then caused, that I will lose my path etc. So this is the reason, I need to know how much free memory my eTrex has in field. Hi, I have eTrex 10, which is limited by 8 MB of memory only. So for me is important to check regulary which size of memory is free. When I am at home I can receive this information from Garmin Express program at computer. But how to do it out of computer, when I am in teraine? Is it possible to know which memory receive in eTrex 10 from menus inside of eTrex 10? Or from any diagnostic page in eTrex 10 etc.? Thanks for advice. Mirek

Hi, I have some maps from openstreet and there are visibles edges which are at borders of segments of maps. It is seen at MapSource and also at my GPS device (eTrex Vista HCx). Does anybody know how to hide these lines between segments of maps? These line are very tedious because they look like paths etc. Could it caused with some settings during instalation these maps into MapSource (inside MapSetToolKit)? Or is it caused with some setting inside MapSource itself? Thanks ahead for any advices. Mirek

HOW MANY CHARACTERS can be used for name field and comment field for waypoints in GPSMAP 64 series? There is no information in user manual for GPSMAP 64 series for this topic. Some sources of information write about 30 characters for both name field and comment field, other sources write about 32 characters etc. So I find correct information from anyone who has GPSMAP 64/64s/64st. I have eTrex Vista HCx which is very limited from this point of view: the name of waypoint can be up to 14 characters long; the comment of waypoint can be up to 30 characters long. And I plan to "upgrade" from my eTrex Vista HCx to GPSMAP 64/64s/64st reciever. Thank you very much. Mirek
