  2. ... sorry I did not receive the PM ... When Street & Trips is running in GPS mode the iFinder feeds the location and speed to the program . Laptop only of course , kind of difficult taking your desktop on the road with you .
  3. I have a serial cable for connecting a Lowrance iFinder Pro , GO or GO2 to a PC via a serial port . It also works for a USB port with an adaptor . I used it with my iFinder GO2 and laptop with MS Streets & Trips with good results . Price is $12 which includes 48 state shipping .

  5. ... iFinder GO2 ... ? ... try This Link ... they had them for a good price a few days ago but you will have to see what shipping costs are involved .
  6. ... okay , I went with the woot deal so add a eXplorist 300 to my collection . ... cables are on the way then someone can guide me through the download/upload rituals ... found a cache with it yesterday .... nice unit .
  7. " My biggest suggestion for people looking to buy a GPS. Go look at the units in your local sporting goods/outdoor/electronic store and handle them if you can. See if you're happy with the feel, size and weight of the unit as well as the screen and key layout. Then go shop around on the internet. Prices vary from place to place and eBay can be a great resource for new or used equipment. " ... if people keep shopping like that , there won't be any local shops to try stuff out !!
  8. Lowrance iFinder GO2 , low cost and plenty of features . Entering the data manually is of little concern to me ... what's the hurry as I seldom seek more than one cache at a time .
  9. ... Lowrance iFinder GO ... $ 70 ... it works and leaves you money to buy gas to get where it points you ...
  10. ... I have good results with a Lowrance iFinder Go and the connecting cable ... total cost about $ 110
  11. ... I get great battery life out of my iFinder GO2 . That should be more like 2 DAYS , not hours !
  12. ... I have ordered from Tiger GPS ... they did ok by me but you might want to call and make sure the product is in stock before placing your order .
  13. ... I am a big fan of my iFinder GO2 . I am less of a geocacher and more of a hiker but it serves me well . The built-in maps are great if you can read the tiny fonts ( I can ) and I connect it to my laptop when I travel ... it does a great job feeding my mapping software with the GPS data . ... good value if you don't mind entering waypoints manually . ... if anyone can unlock the secret of two-way communication this this data cable and existing software , please educate me .
  14. ... with the threat of Lyme disease , I would never venture into the woods with shorts on ... I live in SE Pennsylvania and I know of a least 10 people with the disease ... not good
