Has anybody purchased this new version of Topo s/w for their Magellan GPS? I have the Meridian Platinum and remember the earlier (v4) versions of Mapsend Topo were not that good. Any comments on accuracy and topo features or accuracy/details with roads? I'd like to pick it up, but want it to be better (accuracy-wise) than the previous version.

I was planning on buying the Mapsend Topo software for my Platinum to hopefully update/upgrade the map I use now (the base map) with more topo and street information. Is it worth it? How accurate is it? And does the 4.20c upgrade upgrade from any previous versions? Does the upgrade update the map information or is there some other mechanism to update the map information? Thanks for the information. I've been having a blast with the geocaching so far, but I'm learning that the base map needs some additional information to make it more useful. -Paul Skimblz and Sweetldy

On the Mapsend Topo... I bought Street Atlas 2003 Plus. Will this work or would I be better off returning it for the Mapsend Topo? I really want topo and street information both since I geocache but I also use the Platinum for navigation. Also I have a 256 MB card in my Plat, but I know the PC Cable connection will only see 64. What would the best way to connect as large a map as possible with as much detail as possible. Thanks for any information. -Paul Skimblz and Sweetldy
