  1. I'm a relative newb, but my son (9) and I love going out to find them... he's found a few of the finds I've got logged, and we both have a great time! However, the 12" or so of snow that's on the ground is a bit of a deterrent. Both of us are anxiously waiting for the snow to melt some so that we can get out again! Stupid winter... *grumbling* Linda
  2. Thanks for the welcome! I think this is going to be something I'll be spending WAY too much time at:) As for the cemetery, I'm debating on that. The cache is not actually IN the cemetery, it's at the entrance (it's a really old one)... Perhaps I'll just drive the bug by and let him know there's one near there:) Or wait 'til the weekend... *shrug* Thanks for the tip, though. You own the Ohio Spirit Quest series?? I saw some from the Wisconsin Spirit Quest and the Illinois Spirit Quest (I'm close to the border, so I see both:)), and the idea to me is AWESOME! When placing in a cemetery, does one generally have to get permission? Just curious... Thanks for the welcome and the advice! Linda
  3. December 20th 7 pounds, 11 ounces 19 in Congrats!!! Linda
  4. The one I'm looking at is called a "Transfer Terminal" in the title (wasn't sure if I should post the link or not...) It's a TB swap location, and I would love to find one of these guys and set it free again on its mission. I just didn't know if it was incredibly rude to take one and not leave one (since I obviously don't have any), you know? God, I hope this doesn't sound too stupid... Linda
  5. Hi all!!! First of all, I'm totally new. I'm getting a GPS for Christmas (I'm supposed to act surprised ), but until then, the bug (my son) and I have been looking at caches around us. We found our first one last night!! And now the bug is dying to go out and find more. But that's another story... I'm interested in geocoins and travelbugs, but don't know how to go about it and don't know the etiquette on them. We've got a travelbug motel that I think would be neat to visit near me, but I don't want to take something and not leave another one in its place. Is that the right way to think with these? I've been to the boards for these topics, but they seem to be aimed more at the experienced coiners and buggers So I thought I'd ask my question here. Also, is ebay a good place to get them, or should I go through one of the dealers? Sorry if these have been asked before... Thanks, Linda P.S. The bug and I are both hooked now... he's already asking me when we can go again, and I'm planning on surprising him with one that's on the way home from the store that we have to go to tonight. My only hope is that the people who love across the street from the cemetery that it's at won't call the police because they see a couple people with flashlights walking around the entrance to the cemetery:) Opinions on that?
