  1. How would you classify a nano in camouflage? Eg. a nano inside a snail shell, since you are now looking for a container larger than a nano.
  2. That's handy to know. Many thanks.
  3. Going to events, I discover plenty of trackable items, which are often brought by their owners. Is there a quick way to find out if I have already discovered one so I don't post another log? At the moment, I am having to check every log entry, which is time consuming. If not, maybe it's time to put in a feature request.
  4. I would say anything which is reviewed by a Groundspeak representative should be included in the stats.
  5. I immediatly thought of Frank Spencer
  6. Try in excess of 500Kg for a cow! I think an adult weighs in at approximately 800Kg.
  7. I picked up a TB in Norway back in June, but have not found a suitable cache to place it in - there are far too many nanos, micros and small caches about. I will deposit the TB in the next cache which is large enough, dry and secure.
  8. I don't get OS maps on the Beta Maps page, but I am still on FF3.6 (don't like the newer versions). I do get the icon which creates a new page with the cache list.
  9. Don't forget that the NT (and NTS) also own land, which the public may enter without charge (some may have chargeable car parks).
  10. Why not have a Travel Bug which wants to visit AED areas? This way, you can educate cachers, perhaps with links to appropriate web sites. Although the TB probably won't get to visit many sites, at least you can have the feeling of doing your bit to raise awareness of AEDs.
  11. I know when arrested, at the station you are asked if you want a solicitor before being questioned by the police. I presume the police then decide whether to release, charge or caution you after the interogation, which is why it is important to have legal representation, which I believe has to be provided for free (unless you use your own). Sadly, I doubt we will get to hear the cachers side of the story.
  12. I was lucky to get a set of Garmin coins, and played the game by activating and releasing them Only one of them is still moving, the other four are being held by cachers and not being moved, despite some polite emails
  13. I think the default text should be " Wonderful cache in a beatiful location, worth visiting" Certainly think there should be a minimum number of characters for a found log to be valid. 4? eg TFTC. More should be needed for other types of logs.
  14. Cheddleton Flint Mill, very near to The Captains Hole
  15. My only complaint with the beta maps is there are no menu options (links) on the page. The only option is to click the logo and go to the home page.
  16. How long have you been working in the US? If over a year, then it is possible to bring used items to the UK and not pay duty. Failing that, just lose the box and receipt
  17. I've had the opposite problem happen - my subscription was extended by 3 weeks Oops, I shouldn't have said that, I'm sure somebody will go and correct it now
  18. Ditto. At least I managed to get BBC1 on one of the computers, just so I can see what's happening (anything to avoid working).
  19. Non of my PQs have turned up today. Makes me wonder why I bothered renewing
  20. The last time I bought some coins from the USA, they were declared as game tokens on the customs form. There were only seven, sent in a small jiffy bag, and I was lucky enough to escape any customs/PO charges. I think the size of the packet determines if customs will check values (they might also do random checks as well).
  21. Buy a spare pole, then you won't lose your original one (based on Sods Law). I lost one pole, long before I got involved in geocaching, which must have been left at a rest point on a walk. I now have 3 spares, all bought cheaply, in case I lose one.
  22. Spot the cache Ribblehead Viaduct and the cache is called Batty Moss Viaduct
  23. I hope to make it as a day visitor to the Spring Madness event, in my Jeep TB. See you there at 4pm
  24. I'm in Stoke, and can certainly recommend the West Midlands Forum as linked above. You don't have to be mad to join us, but it helps And the event mentioned above will welcome visitors from 4pm to 8pm if you don't want to camp. Which part of Stoke do you live in?
