I upgraded from v4.06 to v5.00. I have only used it once since then, not sure if I like it or not, they changed a few small things that I noticed. I have mine set up to show depart to destination line on the map screen the changed the goto line a little. They also changed the order of the database screen, when you have a map loaded it is now at the top of that screen, not sure if I like that or not yet. There was a list of things changed posted in the yahoo Meridian group here just have to do a search.

Right now I have downloading the waypoints from the pages of gc.com and then upload them into my ST map then upload them to Mapsend. I was wondering if there is a desktop program that can eliminate uploading them to the gps step. I know I need to put them on there anyway, but I want to put them on a map so I can decide which ones I am going to do.

I have a ST Map with v 4.06 and when I go to the sat. screen it only shows 8 sometimes 10 sats. that I am getting reception from. I wondered if anyone else has seen this or any thoughts? Should I d/l the newest firmware or should I get a hold of Magellan and send it in?

Just wondered if anyone has heard of benmeadows just was looking at a mag. today. Lots of good outdoor stuff in there. I know they might not be the cheapest in town. Still worth the look. When you do good nobody remembers, and when you do bad nobody forgets!

I have a Sportrak Map and I love it, seems to get great reception even under the the trees. I have no complaints. Just sometimes wish it had a little more memory.

Good topic, I too am currently thinking about purchasing a PPC. Like Motorbug said, need to be more efficient on the trail. BTW Motorbug I too just became a premium member today and I believe you can download you queries right away.

I know the terrain is pretty flat around here as compared to somewhere like on the west coast but I was expecting to see something like thiswhen I loaded the Topo maps on my GPS.
